Why are you making that point?

You're predicting that he's being sentenced disproportionately (with reference to media pressure), for some reason, before he's even been sentenced.

Yeah, he's going to prison mate, his appeal will be put together whilst he's inside.

He's been pictured smirking on his way into court today and looks remorseless according to several accounts.

No mate..The point I was making is that there have been suggestions that he should get 10 years in prison, which is the kind of sentencing that violent rapists don't even get..

Prosecution are just going over the case again, I'd imagine they'll listen to the Defence again then the Judge will summarise all the **** again and sentence him after lunch. That's just a guess mind.

You mean you've found a case of one or two isolated incidents of violent rapists who have got away lightly?

If he'd violently raped a minor, I doubt we'd be chatting 4-10 years, I read a case not long ago for a guy who got about 26 years for violently raping an adult.

I don't really like discussing this to be honest, we should stick to what he has done and the guidelines the judge has to, unfortunately, stick to.

Defense going with him being a complete thick bastard, now that he's been found guilty of some charges <doh>

In hindsight, I wonder if he'd have avoided jail if he pleaded guilty from the start, offered to go directly into rehab and took his shame on the chin like a man. Instead he tried to make the girl out to be a complete liar and has allowed the public trolls to destroy her, so he's gonna pay the price.

They keep referring to "Therapist", I'm not sure if they're talking about his doctor or they've missed a space out and they're talking about him.

Orlando Pownall has finished his submission, and Judge Rose is now going to retire to consider sentence for "20 to 30 minutes". He has said that Johnson must remain in the dock now. He will not be released while this break happens, as he has been on other days.

Judge talking about what Johnson told sexual psychotherapist. "I treated her like any of the girls I met. I put her age out of my mind. She was just another girl, another opportunity. She was attractive enough, another one to get with."

    What a ****.

“You had every opportunity to enter guilty pleas,” Judge Rose said as he prepares to pass sentence.
“All of this is entirely your own responsibility and fault.”

think this is leading up to a biggy?

The BBC have a running commentary, updating every 3-4 minutes.

I know this is a serious crime, but really? Is the most important event of the day? <doh>

Whinge aside, I'm still reading it :emoticon-0136-giggl

If the judge gives him a trivial sentence after this summing up, the judge should do the same time inside as well!!!
