Fury has been involved in some right turkeys yet he’s somehow now viewed as being on a different plane.

Not for me he isn’t.

Yes he’s fought the biggest single punching heavy weight there’s ever been imo, but Wilder can’t box, never has been able to, he’s a swinger who if he lands cleanly will spark out an opponent, he got schooled by Ortez before catching him with one shot. Fury got downed by him, first fight and then schooled him in the second as he just outboxed him on the front foot from the off.

Joshua is a completely different proposition, as he can definitely box as well as bang. The fight is a coin toss for me.

I disagree about AJ being able to box, he’s better than he was but the tempo and the style of fight this will be will put him on the back foot where he’s not remotely comfortable. He’s used to being the bigger guy, the aggressor and the dictator of the pace of the fight. When he’s got to move and pick his punches he has to rely on his wooden legs and that’s where Fury’s on a different planet.

I’m not saying there’s no chance for AJ as there’s always a chance but for me this is going nowhere near a wire. AJ to win max 1 round imo.

Read all that and... fence.

Boring bro.

Whats ya hunch now?

I honestly don’t know. Both are capable of knocking the other out, and both have shown they can box behind the jab for 12 rounds and win that way.

Joshua’s lack of head movement and his susceptible temple makes Fury the favourite if they stand and trade, and sometimes Joshua can’t resist standing and trading. So I’d have Fury as the slight favourite until the weigh in.

Joshua is a more recent times Frank Bruno.

Big guy, decent boxer, soon as he comes across a technically better boxer and, to be honest, harder man, that where he's exposed.

If Fury is not fat and bored after a year + out, he wins.
He's way better boxer and, tbf, harder than Joshua.

Fury's to lose. Joshua could easily bang him out though.

What a **** card. Bivol hasn't fought for ages, so you can understand him taking an easy one, but there's just nothing there, is there?
People will probably watch the main event, just in case there's a shock, but it's utterly uninspiring.

I heard that this was a good, entertaining fight from the weekend. Sounds extremely unlikely, given who it features, but I'll post it anyway.

I'd agree ... it seems to have become popular to dismiss Joshua but he's done little wrong other than the one fight with Ruiz where he had 'one of those nights' ... peeps seem to forget that it can happen ... Ali with Spinks, Tyson with Buster Douglas, Ponky with Mildred from the pasty shop ...

I think Tyson Fury is the best, most skilful, heavyweight currently in the game ... but if he underestimates Joshua he could well get beat ... I think it will be close <cheers>

I think povetkin will win again... I think he'll catch him.

He’s always got a punchers chance, as he showed in the 1st fight when he’d lost every round for me, but found that one shot. It’s what makes heavyweight boxing so unpredictable at times, when you’ve got fighters at this level with such devastating power.

I’m backing Whyte though, as I think he’ll break him down this time and finish him.
