I don't think that he was gassed after 3 rounds, he didn't know what to do and his corner wasn't helping him.
They just kept telling him motivational bullshit, instead of explaining what he had to do to win.

He was getting hit with the jab constantly and he's not used to trying to counter or having to get inside.
By the time he started to get some things going his eye was swollen up so much that he couldn't see properly.
Terrible work from his corner with an inexperienced fighter.
 
Dubois's corner failed him there - should have thrown the towel or had him stay on his stool.

The quitter reputation will follow him though his entire career now.

These guys must never get tested even as amateur, so I have to wonder wtf the trainers are doing... Dubois has no head movement whatsoever and has nothing but a 1 2...? He's also clearly not tough enough and a trainer should be looking for that early on in their gym... Poor

Probably right mate, but there's hope in me that when that bell goes the demon hell fire of iron Mike comes out again<laugh>

I think you can learn from something lacking technically, but not sure how you recover from running away. I can only think, with a french name like his. You know.

He never came across as being particularly mean mind. He always seemed like that big goofy idiot that kept getting everyone in bother at school
