He is the first ever Indian boxer to fight a 12 round fight and have a ranking https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Neeraj_Goyat Would have thought a country with a billion people would have achieved more then that but then again they don't really have a tradition in boxing.
He also managed to get away from Naseem Hamed without getting eaten: please log in to view this image Might be good for the sport, if it's anything like a real fight. Can't see it, but it might generate some interest, I guess.
Anything that increases the popularity of boxing is a good thing - never know, this kid could do a Ruiz and score an upset. Naseem Hamed was my favourite boxer when I was younger - a narcissistic arrogant dickhead who could back it up. His match against Kelley where he danced behind a screen while the American audience booed him and then repeatedly knocked each other down was one of the greatest fights I ever watched live. Pity his hands were made of glass and he was a **** of a human being out of the ring.
Oi don't sleep on fatletes, bro! Tai Tuivasa 'bout to **** **** up on Saturday in the UFC. Funniest **** in MMA by a mile too.
Or maybe not being a fat **** means fit? It's obvious that most muscle Mary's couldn't fight but usually you'd assume a porky tubbster can't either!
When I was a little kid Ali was making his mark. This was the USA of the mid 60’s and Ali was a black man. Not only a black man, but one with a big mouth too!. Black fighters were ok so long as they did as they were told and didn’t get ‘uppity’ Ali changed all that and they ****ing hated him. I mean really hated him. But they couldn’t stop him as he brushed aside every fighter put in his path. He bragged he was the greatest, and he was.
Hamed was a showman and a very good boxer, but what set him apart from most of those types was the level of entertainment. Josh Kelly shows off and acts like he's on another level, but he doesn't have the threat or style to make it convincing. If you're going to be a flash ****, then give it 100% or don't bother. Chris Eubank Sr was another one that could pull it off and I think that they both knew how over the top they were. There's a fine line between flamboyance and becoming a laughing stock. They walked it well. Entertaining ring entrances can be great, but you need to follow it up with something similarly watchable when the bell goes.
Too flash. Needs to be more aggressive and active, as well as fighting more regularly when he's not injured. Not sure why they're taking so long on the Buatsi fight, but I think it'll be up fairly soon.
Thanks mate. As a fat yet reasonably athletic guy myself, I always rep the fatletes. This legend fights tomorrow night (well, Sunday morning), future HW champ:
please log in to view this image That's a PPV bill in the UK? Really? Give me a break. The Warrington v Galahad one isn't much better, but at least they're not asking anyone to buy it and it's on at a decent time.
