For the real boxing fans yes, I agree ... but the real interest is in title fights and Wilder would really need a belt to generate the same interest for a 4th fight with Fury ... IMHO...
Wilder has no route to any belts right now. He's lost repeatedly to Fury and Usyk has to rematch Joshua, the winner of which will fight Fury. That only leaves non-belt holders and the loser of Usyk vs Joshua will be the biggest name available. Things can change in the meantime, of course, but I can't see anyone making that much of an impact. Whyte beating Wallin would help him to push for it, but he's too risky without enough reward. Parker vs Chisora should be interesting, but it's not enough to push either into that bracket. I don't even know who Joyce could face, let alone boost him up enough to contend.
Whyte is facing Wallin in a few weeks. 30th October at the 02 Arena in London. Alen Babic is going to batter Lucas Browne on the undercard.
Babic is a circus act. I’m really looking forward to him going in with a proper fighter and getting levelled.
I'd like to see it, but I don't think that we will. Fury v the winner of Usyk/Joshua is just too lucrative to risk, unfortunately.
Efe Ajagba vs Curtis Harper. Harper walked out over a pay dispute: https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/boxing/45307287 Harper later claimed that he signed a contract and never received a copy. He also said that they told him it wasn't going to be televised and it clearly was.
Whyte wins his gimme fight, Fury batters Whyte, Usyk beats AJ and Fury destroys Usyk in the unification fight too. Odds...?
