Umm - this doesnt make sense! You are blaming the board be SL is exempt from this despite probably having the final say over most things?! ?!?!?!?!
Hello Redprintt. I think it is that simple to be honest matey. As far as Swansea is concerned, they certainly hasn't achieved the success they have on the back of a wealthy owner/chairman during their rise. In fact, Jenkins had been struggling with his personal business for years which finally collapsed and went into admin, though I think another director called Morgan has got a few bob in the club, but nothing anywhere near like Lansdown. In fact after coming out of a CVA about 10 years back, his biggest coups (good fortunes?) have been the excellent managers he appointed. Kenny Jackett, Roberto Martinez, Paulo Sousa, Brendan Rodgers, and now Michael Laudrup. They have proved you don't necessarily have to splash the cash to get there. On the other hand, it doesn't happen very often and is probably a combination of good skills and good luck. With the wrong managers at the helm they could be in League two right now rather than doing so well.
It's also because their fans and ground have spurred them on and haven't got on their back if they've lost a couple in a row. I can imagine if we were in that position we'd still have some fans moaning that we weren't in a better position!
