Do I go with the positive majority and back a City win? We played well last Saturday and deserved to win. The new lad Watt impressed with his movement and willingness to run at defenders. Midfield was much more balanced with Ralls in the centre, taking some of the physical stuff off Gunnar who also had his best game of the season. Both Watt and Gunnar should be up for more than the 60 minutes or so they played last Saturday. Defence looked solid until the last 10 minutes (and a wobbly bit at the end of the first half). Also, Macheda is fit again. BUT - 9 players suffering with a virus this week, Ameobi has asthma but new medication helping and Bolton had 25 shots in the televised game earlier this week. Have they been paid? I would love us to win well and give a massive confidence boost but they are bottom of the league and we know how well we play against bottom clubs, we rarely do well at their place and their players will be keen to show their worth to potential buyers. Taking all that into account, a 1.1 draw please Sheepy.
As my predictions are about as accurate as the daily express winter weather warnings I am going with 1-1 with Watt to score. this prediction should mean 3-0 win for the city.
Just looking at Bolton's record this season and they've only lost once at home. They don't concede that many goals overall (Ipswich and Fulham have conceded more), and of the 25 they have let in, only 7 have been at home. They've also held both Brighton and Derby to a draw at The Macron. What does this all mean? We'll probably win it 3-0 so that's what I'll go for. Bolton 0 - 3 City with another set piece goal amongst them - I'll go for Morro again.
Hampshire's season was going steadily off track after briefly topping the table but a stunning CS yesterday sees him back into the race for the title, but Sayer still has managed to open up a two point gap at the top. Masky season is going in the other direction - now down to 3rd. At the other end of the table Jonah was in risk of being cut adrift but two points yesterday mean that he joins on Bfb and Ninian on 9 points. Technically Bfb is now only outside the drop zone on alphabetical order (but hopefully it won't end like that! )
