We were invincible in the domestic league. I don't think any one should have a tough time of understanding that.
Unbeatable may be a more apt term. Calling that team 'the invincible' is extremely misleading seeing as though you lost quite a few times.
You have no idea (well after Istanbul you do) the feeling. To be so close so many times and to have the trophy dangling above you for so many years and then to go on and win it... incredible. Was in the Allianz and it didn't really sink in until when I got home and watched it back. Had a tear in my eye. So chuffed. And hats off to the Bayern fans who were very gracious in defeat.
No, invincible is fine, because we were unstoppable for 49 games. It could have been 50 if Mike Riley refereed the game correctly.
I remember a game you lot played agaisnt Portsmouth a dive from Pires saved your lot easy to ignore that i suppose.
Oh and it's nice to see you responding in football terms to the comment I made but instead you go for a dig at me... classy.... and I mean that... twat
I'm not saying it was a **** side, it's one of the best in the history of English football, but the term 'invincibles' is a load of bollocks.
One dive is incomparable to finding a video compilation, over 10 minutes long I believe, all from one game, showing the vicious treatment that Arsenal suffered that afternoon.
How am I supposed to respond to what you said? How does it bring up any sort of valuable footballing debate?
The fact that you care so much about how you were described in THAT season. Granted it was impressive but I, like Drogs, wouldn't call it invincible...
How about you change it something that isn't pathetic? You are 18, no longer a 'boy'. Your insecurities disgust me.
