According to UEFA website, Derry City still have their existing co-efficient points. <confused>

That'll be the same uefa that awarded Rangers 0.86 for season 2012-2013 giving a total from the rankings on 30 May 2013 of 22.538. This total takes into account previous seasons European exploits.

Uefa see it as the same club and if the governing body do then who am I to argue?

So why do you keep arguing about it then?

Derry City’s Chairman, Philip O’Doherty said:

“Because the new club has only been in existence for two years – not three years – we had to apply for a derogation of the rule.”

I'd post a picture of someone clutching at straws but you're not worth the effort.

I'm not. Dr Nick Riviera is. I told him I wouldn't take advice on supporting my club from someone who can just change to a new club when his last one ceased to operate.

Clutching at straws and jealous of someone more highly educated. Not a good day for poor rebel.

You'll be greeting into your pot noodle later.

    Would you really?

Rangers ceased to operate as a club. Founded in 1873, incorporated 1899, entered liquidation in 2012.

Window dress it any way you want. You support a new club.

If you want to say they are the spiritual successor. Go on ahead. Same club??? No siree.

You have no idea to what level I am educated. I wouldn't lower myself to ever cite it in an argument. If you feel it lends credence to your argument, feel free to carry on.

Don't the UEFA Coefficient have a 5 year...ill call it half life? The points are not automatically wiped but fall away over time as Rangers will never play a European match again.

See if this happened to Celtic. I would be embarrassed to try and tag on their glory to my new team. It diminishes the original achievement

So why were rangers awarded 0.86 for 2012-13 season and this added on to previous seasons totals?

    No Nick.

The SPL said Rangers ceased to operate as a club.... Why would they say that?

FIFA recognised Rangers ceased to operate as a club.

If the SFA say New Rangers are the same club, yet treat them like a new club. We all know why. Rangers went bust. I am not making it up. Clinging to crazy notions of selling history is embarrassing for you.

Trying to paint liquidation as anything else is quite silly. Hardly befitting of an educated man.

Seriously though That'll be for one of the previous 5 years, most likely the last one.

Apparently liquidation means something entirely different when Rangers do it.

    For every rational person

    Liquidation: To cease operation

    For every Rangers fan

Liquidation: Move along, nothing to see here. Pay no attention to the man behind the curtain

Exactly. The SFA recognised the financial imperative of pandering to this ****.

Everyone told them this was going to happen. Everyone told them they'd pretend it hadn't happened.... Yet here we are. Exactly as predicted.
