And the likes of John Hartson, Andy Walker, Craig Burley, Jim Duffy, Davie Provan et al. don't count? Perhaps we should ask Murdoch McLeod* to investigate. * The fact you spelled his surname incorrectly is actually the least ridiculous thing about that acarpous attempt at a WUM.
Is that the same Fraser Wishart that was in the news recently for fronting the PFA's legal challenge against Rangers?
I reckon the Celtic board are in two camps - half are from the old SPN / before 606 died days - half have been banned from ja606 for being mental.
You fail to appreciate the difference between having a professional duty to carry out and the historical role the person played. Wishart was an ex rfc player and his presence as a resident pundit along with Dalzeil and BFDJ simply reinforces my point. Wishart can hardly refuse to represent the interests of his members simply because their case is against SEVCO, but again we have people like yourself displaying your arrogant supremacist attitude that SEVCO be above the rules and regulations of the game.
A) the case was against Sevco and Rangers aint it. 2) why are you bringing it up now? iii) for whatever reason I think ex Celts in the media are less inclined to speak in nothing but glowing terms about us. Apart from Strachan.
I think Wishart made nine appearances for Rangers most of these were as a substitute. I hardly thought my comment displayed an "arrogant supremacist attitude" either to be honest. Both Rangers and Celtic alike have various ex-players working in the media that's the nature of the beast. Can you remember any televised match featuring Rangers or Celtic without a player on the panel with some sort of connection to the appropriate club (albeit tedious)?
I don't remember ****s this bad on 606. I mean 606 had its moments but at least most people made sense. super and albatross are proper ****ing mental.
Well I did think it read that way. TV is completely different, because the broadcaster is no longer restricted to BBC SCOTLAND or STV, but is in fact global...Sky and ESPN. I was referring to the plethora of ex rfc players who had far more than a tenuous link to the club. Hard to think of many ex celts who regularly write or speak or act as pundits in the media. You are kidding yourself on if you think there is no disparity. It is so one sided that the one side of the see saw has penetrated the astenosphere.
Yeah, a bit like Northern Irish politicians, we've all grown old and left our mental days behind us. Now we lecture others for behaving exactly the same way we used to behave.
To help you: Andy Walker, Charlie Nicholas, Martin O'Neill, Craig Burley, Gordon Strachan, Kenny Dalglish, Billy McNeill (even had his own column in Shoot!), Tosh McKinley, Ian Wright, Alan Brazil, Alan Rough, Davie Provan, rank McGarvey and Frank McAvennie are some guys I remember.
Yea, a bit annoyed Reb - took the edge off my delight at the Celtic win, even though Barca are well ahead in the league but can't really complain about the result. Another one of those games (thankfully rare) to forget as quickly as possible.
Is the wee wink meant to make this less litigious Espania? No obviously as you know Trade Unions normally have legal advisers that would have handled that side of things rather than Wishart. The point I was trying to make is that Wishart is probably less popular with Rangers fan than he is with Albatross (if such a thing can be possible). This is the case with many pundits though isn't it? One example being Charlie Nicholas who seems to be deeply unpopular with a lot of Celtic supporters I know. Gordon Smith is another example on our side. I just remembered another couple of Celtic pundits, Mick McCarthy and Paul Elliot.
