Georgios Samaras is a huge loss -very disappointed he's out. Excuse my ignorance but what is the point of 'tags'?
It looks like we are forced into a 4-4-2 or a 4-5-1 with Mulgrew shifted to the middle, or Billy Ocean making his debut in a holding midfield role. Both could work but neither is ideal. The tags are supposed to be used to group a particular type of thread together. For example tagging EBT and then clicking on that tag could bring up all the threads where EBT's are discussed. Or SaturdayNightLosers could be used to tag threads where Benjamin Bottlejob spends every saturday night telling people how sad they are for being on the internet on a saturday night. Clicking on that tag would bring up every saturday night......instead they are used to insult people.
Thanks for the info Reb! Hate to say it but while I'm looking forward to tomorrow night, with Georgios Samaras and Joe Ledley both out and the new bhoys not having had enough game-time with the rest of the team, I don't have a good feeling about it ... I hope that I'm totally wrong though, this is just my pessimistic side kicking in after a heavy weekend and it'll/I'll be all right on the night!
I disagree that the tags are being abused, look for example at "Russ" and "Beel". Any thread where I have beeled (lots of which I don't even comment) is conveniently tagged so whenever evidence is required to settle an argument it is easy to find a thread where my Hulk-like fury is unleashed. Similar if you require pictures or talk of "Gaping", you are quids in.
But you beel in so many threads it is like filtering for the word "the". I have ran a cable from my living room through my loft and dropped it into my conservatory where I have put a small TV. I have a projector in there too and I don't know how to connect the TV to the projector. I used to do it via a sling box thingy but that was a bit cumbersome......anyway. I fancied watching the match out there tomorrow night. A mate of mine gave me a load of cables for stuff and they look like they should do the trick....I can't ask him how to do it as, very unhelpfully he died. I do have a story for every occasion. That is a particularly ****e one about how I plan to watch the game tomorrow evening.........i imagine I will fail. If I don't do it tonight I will not have time to do it tomorrow evening............So it will probably be my living room.
I don't think you can connect the TV to the Projecter, if it's a digital projector and not some Victorian Magic Lantern, then all you should need is to connect the Projector to your Sky/Freeview box with Red, Yellow and White cables. That's what I do.
That is what I have. The three cables. Should it just go as if by magic as soon as I plug them in? The sky box is in the living room and I have a cable running from the sky box to the TV in the conservatory.
I am watchng Fraco's team against Franco Sidebottoms team......... This is what the CL standard is.......We are ****ed,........****ED.
Erm, this, somewhat Benfica have got to be favourites tonight by a fair distance. I'm pooping my scants. Still, J'ai bonne esperance
I'm placing my hope in Forrest as well. Wanyama up against Aimar and Wilson against Cardozo worry me, though. Apparently Efe Ambrose is in the squad despite only getting a work permit yesterday. I don't think he's even trained with the team - I hope he's not included - we needed a new centre half badly but this isn't the time to throw a guy in with a bunch of strangers.
You'd hope Lenny has more sense than that. This Ambrose is supposed to be decent though. Got high hopes that we've finally signed a commanding centre back who doesn't panic every time a ball is floated over his head.
Neil Lennon wants his Celtic team to play without fear against Benfica, despite going down to St Johnstone in their last league match. The Scottish champions welcome their Portuguese opponents to Parkhead in their opening Champions League group stage fixture, coming off the back of a 2-1 loss and lacklustre performance in Perth. "The sign of a good team is who you come back from a defeat and I am looking for a reaction," Lennon said. "They know that the level of performance was not acceptable, I don't want to see that again. "They are entitled to a day off, a bad game but in the main I've been pretty pleased with the contributions this season. "There shouldn't be any nerves, this is a competition that the players look forward to playing in, to challenge themselves against the best clubs in Europe and Benfica certainly come into that category. "What I want to see is the team playing as well as they can. I want to see them express themselves, play the football that they know they are capable of and hopefully improve on Saturday's performance." Benfica haven’t played a competitive game in over two weeks but Lennon is confident he has seen enough of their attacking prowess to know how to set out his stall. "We have to be careful that we don't get picked off if we are going to press Benfica," said the manager. "But traditionally at home we do like to play a quick tempo. "It is a quick pitch and it will be watered beforehand but that might suit both teams. I think the game will be at a fast pace. "There shouldn't be any nerves, this is a competition that the players look forward to playing in, to challenge themselves against the best clubs in Europe and Benfica certainly come into that category.
watched madrid last night and thought "****" at one point i swear di maria actually hit a pass so hard it was an spl long range shot only for ronaldo to kill it 10 yards away and have a dig i hope this isnt too painful 3-1 the hoops
I missed all the football last night. Fell asleep on the sofa just after 7. Was Man City/Madrid really that bad? A guy in work said it was 80 minutes of dirge.
Recorded it and fast forwarded it to the last 21 minutes, which were not bad. However, the rest of my day will be filled with listening to this constantly until it's time to head on up to Paradise...
Can't wait now myself. Seems like a long, long time ago I trudged out of Parkhead after the Barca game. I've only ever seen two teams beat Celtic at Parkhead. Dunfermline in the first home game of the 97/98 season and Barca.
