I know Miku has played wide right before. Not sure about Lassad playing left wing though.

Wanyama needs to get the finger out. He looked entirely uninterested on Saturday.

Never thought I'd be gutted that we're missing Samaras as a wide midfielder for a crucial CL game. <yikes>

Biggus , if your playing the same midfield as Saturday and Hopper upfront himself , does that not leave us will only 10 players ??? Might get away with it in Ramsden cup but not the champions league !!!

    No, I reckon it'll be a 4-5-1

    Forster
    Lustig/Matthews, Wilson, Mulgrew, Izzy
    Forrest, Broon, Wanyama, Commons, Lassad
    Hooper

There are a few options, if Rogne is fit, we might well see Mulgrew play wide left - he hasn't played there in ages but I think Lennon is going to go for a solid shape rather than creativity in the CL.

    ^^
The above assumptions could be entirely wrong, right enough.

    ------------------Forster

    Matthews--Rogne-----Wilson-----Izaguirre

    ------------Wanyama---Mulgrew

    Forrest------------Brown----------Commons

    -------------------Hooper

    or

    -------------------Forster

    --------Lustig-----Rogne-----Wilson
    Matthews-------------------------------Izaguirre

    ---------Brown---Wanyama---Mulgrew

    ------------------Commons

    -------------------Hooper

if benfica have done their homework they'll be targetting our full backs so i'd be tempted with the 3 at the back, although that sacrifices forrest. it gets mulgrew out of defence, hes been honking recently but has to play if only for his set pieces imo, freekicks/corners might be the only joy we get tomorrow

Have a sneaky feeling miku might start in place of hooper since it was CL football that lured him here in the first place and hooper has also been honking recently

    im a tactical mastermind

You are a tactical mastermind, Bealey <ok>

It's a total fair point about playing 3 at the back.

Anyone else looking for a "pot as many swallies as ye can" John Virgo-style pre-match warmup, I'll be in the Five Ways.

...or I might be out the back of it having a dongfight.

Basically, I reckon if Brown AND Wanyama start, then we either need a five man midfield with these two screening the defence (this will definitely happen against Barca) or Brown on the right.

Forrest-Broon-Wanyama-Commons with two strikers will leave loads of room for Benfica to knock it about in midfield. They'd paste us if we did that.

Got the 3 match season ticket package at £84 <ok>

Just as well I got it when I did - since then, the wee yin broke my specs (£400 - knocked down to £200 cos I get a discount), I had to spend a weekend fixing a cistern and busted flush valve (made an utter mess of half of it and had to call a plumber - £300), my tumble drier broke down (£40 for a part) and I'm saving up for Christmas for my three weans.

If I hadn't bought the package when they came out, my wife might've had something to say about me spending an extra £84 quid in a oner plus an additional £90 on beer/getting hame on three seperate weeknights when we're so skint.

I'm heading straight up from work tomorrow.

I haven't decided whether I'm gonna rock the "suit at the fitba" look I normally do for midweek games or take a change of clothes into work with me - I'll probably go for the middle-aged/jakey jeans n suit jaiket look at work and change into a green t-shirt after work.

I've got about 2 hours to get as pished as possible.

I tried contacts but they're a pain in the arse.

Then the doctor told me they're meant to go in my eyes and no my arse.

    <Sorry>

We're told Samaras trained with the Celtic squad today. Update on his fitness from Neil Lennon later this afternoon.

I was in the Optician's last week, he said "have you ever had your eyes checked?".

I said "No, they've always been blue".

I was getting an aftercare check at the opticians just there.

My optician is a proper mat-carrying devout Muslim but she's a flirty wee tease as well.

Always leave that opticians with a semi <ok>
