I agree, but maybe just being the shareholders and not running the business on a day to day basis is on the cards. I can’t expand on it as I only have the same notes to read as you.
You know the same history of the Allams, the same Allam track record as the rest of us. Seriously man, what the **** do you think they are going to do? Ffs!
Anyone who thinks the Allams are going to allow anyone else to manage their money without their very close involvement is a ****ing idiot - they can't even cope with the thought of an adult watching as a child or sitting in the wrong zone - anyone who micromanages every £10 will never let anyone else manage hundreds of thousands of pounds each day
Maybe not getting it, Dennis. It'll be me. To be honest all of the really mouthed ****s can **** off. I'm a tad angry. It'll pass.
Yeah , that's why it sounds strange , Ehab micro-manages everything , nobody else is allowed to make decisions
I agree with Dennis, it doesn't make sense - you just employ a Chief Executive to run a club on your behalf, not an accountancy firm. Maybe he's had Deloitte or another big five accountancy firm saying they can run the show for him.
Unless they plan to put the club into administration.
Unless they plan to put the club into administration.
I think that's exactly what they will do if there is no buyer once they have paid themselfs back fully
I think that's exactly what they will do if there is no buyer once they have paid themselfs back fully
Unfortunately, once they've got their money back and have no doubt made a decent return in the meantime, and there is no buyer on the horizon, then if the club at that stage is not self-funding without owner financial support administration is very much likely to be the next step as they won't want to put another penny in. ****ing ****s, ruining our club.
Understandably angry at the moment Fez given what you have going on, and if this is a good place to vent then you can crack on for me ...not that you need my permission...before you shout at me to tell me that
Yeah I realise that, I’m just chewing stuff over It’s just not something I’ve noticed happening elsewhere, but I’m not a huge follower of football club governance so maybe it has You mentioned Coventry as being a similar model regarding being run by a firm of accountants, but that doesn’t seem that case to me ? I’ll be honest when I first read the comment about handing over the Club to a firm of accountants, I simply read it as a threat regarding us going into administration
Much discussion around the current crest / club badge – the owners do not like the current badge and are keen to involve supporters in making a change to it for the start of the 18/19 season. Actions agreed: Club to engage with fans around the design of a new crest Ffs, if they don't like the current **** badge why haven't they changed it?!?! The badge is a major bone of contention for many people, who will not buy merch with this nameless crest on it and who feel that some great Umbro gear has been sullied with some typical Allam provocation. The excuse back then was "Oh we are waiting for the name change decision to go through so we instructed Umbro to leave the name off the badge." That was over 3 years ago. 3 years of a badge they don't like, and the fans despise? Words fail me.
This is a man who asked people how to run his business then said nobody tells him how to run his business. It's not surprising really is it.
They employed a management team. SISU is a Hedge Fund and although owned by a former footballer it didn’t run the club. Coventry is/was a real mess of a club. It may be a poor example and I do not know it’s full history.
The one thing missed out of all this, why is the old man thinking this way, because his son as ****ed the job up since he took over from his Dad.
No worries I was aware of their management team, it was more the idea of handing it to firm of accountants I found odd
I wonder what Martin Fish is doing now? He knew all about fending off winding up orders by the end......
