I see that the record number of horses to successfully defend their crown in the ‘big 4’ races at the same Festival is 2! And since 1988 that figure has happened just once – in 2003 when Best Mate retained the CGC and Barracuda the World Hurdle. So if 3 out of Hurricane Fly, Sizing Europe, Big Bucks and Long Run retain their titles then it will be a ‘record breaker’!
