The Press is reporting PSG as bidding £120m for Rooney: Premier League - Paper Round: Rooney set for £120m bid It's not often we start off our paper round-up with a rumour from the continent, but when the news in question is a £120 million bid for Wayne Rooney we'll make an exception. You read that right: Spanish publication Sport claims that Paris St Germain will make the vast bid - equal to one and a half Cristiano Ronaldos - to bring in the striker from Manchester United. The story claims that PSG's Qatari backers are sick of the difficulty they are having persuading the best players in the world to come to the club, so will make the move as a statement of intent that they will not rest until they are Champions League winners. It might seem a daft idea initially, but the more you think about it the more it seems to make sense: when you think how many years Manchester City wasted spending £20 million here and there on the likes of Roque Santa Cruz and Emmanuel Adebayor, why not splurge properly in the first place even if it means paying massively over the odds? http://uk.eurosport.yahoo.com/31052012/58/premier-league-paper-round-rooney-set-120m-bid.html
I really can't see where you're getting this idea from. With a 4-5-1, 4-3-3, whatever you want to call it.. you're saying that a formation that uses one striker and two wingers, will not employ a striker and a right winger at the same time?
Although I don't watch a lot of European football, the BBC describe Hulk as a forward who can also play on the wing. Apparently he scored 21 goals this season which seems to be more the record of someone playing up top and not on the wing unless you're a winger like Stu Elliott or, to a lesser extent, Ronaldo. But as I said, I don't watch a lot of European football so could be talking complete cack
Seems to be the opposite as far as I can see. I think he's just a very attacking minded winger (right winger with a left foot) the amount of goals you see him score from cutting inside is ridiculous.
Fair do's J-D. He seems a bit of a plonker mind... http://www.limelife.com/blog-entry/...he-Hulk--With-NearPermanent-Paint/139462.html
Sturridge for Lampard (if he has to pull out) imo would be far better. Adam Johnson has the class to unlock tight and packed defences. Beyond belief that Adam Johnson is overlooked for Stuart Downing and now another poor choice in Jordan Henderson. ffs.
All i am saying is that if your good enough you can play anywhere. But i dont expect to see both Torres and Hulk start in the same games. Well not in many at least. imo As for Rooney and PSG, No Chance.
Newcastle can do without that. Demba Ba could also be about to shift, he's got a release clause in his contract that let's him join anyone who bids £7M for him so long as the deal is sorted by the end of June. His agent earns his money getting these clauses in deals for him. Free transfer last summer, knock down fee of £7M this summer.
New Liverpool manager to raid Swansea for Ashley Williams - Scott Sinclair and Joe Allen. The Sigurdsson move stopped once Rodgers tipped his hand. Surprise Surprise as Sigurdsson also looks destined for Liverpool now. You must feel for Swansea who look like a relegation struggler next season if this all comes to pass. HULK just has to pass a Chelsea medical to complete a £38m move. How much for the green paint though ? Paul Lambert sights his reasons for resigning from Norwich City as being that he can no longer work for Delia & Co. He has had enough. Now that sounds very familiar and closer to home. and in another non surprise, Grant Holt looks set to follow Lambert to Aston Villa. Will Norwich be another club in free fall next season. ? DQPR looks to be close to signing Ben Foster from Birmingham City with a £5m bid. Bye Bye Paddy Kenny to TWS. ABV confirms his severance payment from Chelsea was approx £12m. Nice work if you can get it.
Oh come on now. If you believe that then you are kidding yourself. I did also add ""if it comes to pass"" its a rumour thread afterall and the details are correct as far as the rumour goes. sorry if its confusing for you.
The only player he can sign will be Gylfi Siguardsson because he isnt a Swansea player yet but he has agreed terms and a fee with the club. He has just gone on hoilday which has stalled the move
Indeed. But there is nothing to stop the other 3 swansea players doing a Grant Holt and slapping in a transfer request is there ? like ive said, its only rumour and speculation for now which is what this thread is about. To be honest with you IMO only SIGUARDSSON is upto Liverpools standards.
If Jordan Henderson and Stewart Downing are Liverpool standard then Scott Sinclair and Joe Allen are aswell
They've stated on their official website that there is a clause, I don't see why it's so unbelievable.
