Its only a season long loan though re.Ayala IF it happens. By next summer McShane and Faye will be ouit of contract at the very least so expect new buys especially IF its for the PL again. I want to see Ayala have a good solid season somewhere first. IMO he is miles away from the player we had in season 2010/11 but for varying reasons.

Anyone else find it a bit surprising that Sunderland are prepared to spend £12m on Steven Fletcher? I think he's a reasonable striker, but £12m seems a lot to me.
So am i especially when Bolton are in a cash straight jacket so to speak.!! Wolverhampton have money in the bank so dont have to sell. But they are pre-pared to do so if they get silly money. To think that if you want Fletcher and Jarvis from Wolves you would not get much change from £25m if you paid the asking price.

Yep, ridiculous fee considering he has been relegated 2 years on the trot and what else you could get for that money. Inter are considering giving away Giampaulo Pazzini and he's 10 times the player Fletcher will ever be and only about 27 (I think). Plus he's proved he can play well over here with him being the first player to score a hat-trick at new Wembley!
If they reject it, are they doing a Spurs from last season and not selling him for any price or do they hope to get more money for him? £12m is way more than enough for him

I think Fletcher is a great player and definitely PL material - but £12m is just an example of how insane fees have got recently. There have been these multi-million pound deals for a while of course but it was only 3 or 4 years ago that £2-3m was the most you'd see in the Championship.
If we, as a Championship club, were able to get £12m for one player I think our brains would pop. Great business for Wolves, insane spending by Sunderland. Gives Wolves a right wedge to take aim at promotion again.
