Chelsea away, was a ****ing great performance. But please name 5 games where we were outstanding, please. Bruce definitely had the potential team to play some good stuff, and we did. Sometimes.
Please don't distract him with facts, or I may have to mention. Strange team selections and tactics and square pegs in round holes. OOPS!
When he took over here back in December last year, we witnessed some of the best performances and some of the most spectacular goals we have seen in a generation. That is has tailed off is not a surprise and was to be expected but that's not to say things can go on indefinitely this way. MoN needs time (remember he STILL hasn't been here a year ffs) and when he does bring more of the calibre of Johnson and Fletcher we will become the team that both he wants and we want. As for the OP, mag wum or not, he is way off the mark imo.
Don't know if the OP is a wum or not (I think he is though), but i wouldn't want a pint with the miserable git. As for Mon/Bruce, it's too early to tell. Still think MON will come good in time with a couple of good MF playmakers in January.
Who has the better style ? MON likes to play one up front , Bruce chose to play none up front against Brighton. Therefore MON is less negative.
It's funny when people go on about the odd games here or there to justify a manager being good or bad. Look at where a manager is taking your club over a period of time, Bruce took Sunderland forward for a while and looked like he was doing a good job and then the team started to slide backwards (and there's an argument to be made that he was unlucky as the Bent and Gyan affairs imho crippled him), I don't think you'd have gone down last year if he'd stayed but you would have been in a fight until later in the season than is welcome. O'Neill is a top manager, over time he'll lead you into a top-half of the table side (and realistically all the north-east clubs can hope for are regular top ten finishes and cup runs). His signings (Fletcher, Johnson and Rose on loan) are possibly your best players so he needs more time. ps. Which managers would you expect to come in for the job otherwise? (I point this out to mags too, i don't think either club have the pull to get the best managers)
