The Best (Worst) Driver of all time?

My 2nd thread in a night, so hopefully this gets some interesting debate going!

Ok, we've had threads discussing the best driver of all time, but this one is with a twist. Choose the worst driver you can possibly think of, and you then have one post in which to justify why he (or she) is the 'greatest of all time'.

Forget your Vettel, Hamilton, Button, Alonso, Schumacher, Senna, Clark and all, the aim of this thread is for you all to present the case for why you think Yuji Ide, Taki Inoue, Luca Badoer, Deletraz, etc, should be considered the best F1 driver to ever grace the world championship.

At the end, I'll add a poll so you can vote for your favourite justification.
 
Yuji Ide is the greatest of all time because he jumped into an old car with no experience and still managed to finish 25% of the races he was in. He even once beat Kimi Raikkonen in qualifying he was such a devastating driver. Once Christian Albers was so taken aback by the sheer force of Yuki's talent his car flipped over. He also managed to skillfully prevent his car from hitting the wall after number of spins (that were totally not his fault) during the Australian GP and managed to finish the race a mere two laps down. If these feats of magnificence were not enough he did all of them by not being able to properly communicate with his team. The FIA eventually decided that F1 just could not match or deal with his talent so took away his super license to give the other drivers a chance. His team were still committed to bring Ide back however such was the impact he had made until the team had to pull out of F1 in 2008 because they were Ide-less.
 
Let me get this straight DHC: you want us to mention who we think is the "worst" driver of all time and make a case for him or her being the "greatest"?

I confess to needing some sort of demonstration of the game here! :)
 
I may as well get things going:

Chanoch Nissany - The Best F1 driver of all time:

Nissany was a firm believer that age is no barrier to F1 greatness, starting his motorsport career at the age of 38. A successful businessmen, Nissany soon turned a successful racing driver as he took the 2002 Formula 2000 Hungarian Championship by storm, finishing an excellent second in his rookie season. Nissany quickly graduated to Formula 3000, with his superb displays in Formula 2000 convincing Coloni Motorsport to take him on as a test driver.

His big break came when Can Artam moved teams, leaving a vacant race seat for the final 3 races of the season. Nissany quickly put his testing experience to good use, with reliability issues costing him finishes in the first 2 races. In Monza, Nissany finished a creditable 12th, with stiff competition from more experienced drivers such as Vitantonio Liuzzi, the mighty Robert Doornbos, and Tomas Enge.

Nissany impressed so much, Minardi F1 began to take an interest in the fastly rising star. He was offered a one-off test opportunity with the Minardi team. In 27 scorching laps, Nissany impressed Paul Stoddart so much that he immediately signed Nissany up as test driver. He made his debut in the Minardi at the Hungaroring, where he quickly put his testing expertise to good use, helping to set up the car. In fact, Nissany helped highlight massive issues in the Minardi setup program, with helpful comments such as: "Guys, I'm coming in, I'm having too much grip" . The poor Minardi car meant Nissany finished a disappointing 13 seconds off the pace in free practice. He did however impress with his ability to leave apexes untouched, charitably deciding to put down rubber around the outside of the corner, in an unsuccessful attempt to improve overtaking at the Hungaroring. Unfortunately, undisclosed speed related issues from outside of the sport precipitated his departure, with Enrico Toccacelo able to come in and benefit from Nissanys excellent setup work.

Nissany was rumoured for a comeback with HRT in 2010, but was unable to secure the necessary funding, depriving the F1 world a chance to see this excellent talent again.
 
I decided against doing one of the super bad drives (ill leave them to better writers) and move up the food chain a little so im sorry if this guy was a bit too successfull for this game.

Nelson Piquet Jr- The Best Driver of all time. (do someone less obvious)

A team player. That is the best way to describe this man, son of the 3 time world champion. His F1 career was blighted incessantly by his team as they worked to stifle his raw talent, by not favouring him over his considerably less illustrious team-mate. Regardless of these issues and a strange tendency for his car to swerve into walls, Nelson soldiered on undeterred and his début was nothing short of spectacular. After only one full year of testing and a pre season under his belt Piquet already showed a startling ability to split the speedy Super Aguri's on his way to 21st on the grid. Only two seconds off his team-mates time. He would later take a 2nd place that was not in any way fortunate, but it was a few races later that his true potential and tactical brain was exposed and he put his vehicles "tendency" to good use for the team. Starting lowly on the grid he nobly executed a precision slide to the aid of his overrated understudy (who would go on to win) In truly the most selfless act ever seen on the race track.

Sadly, this man's career was never to reach the heights it deserved and Renault ruthlessly dismissed him despite all his great work and humble personality. Nelson tried to advertise the good selfless work he had done for his previous employers, but some up tight types decided this was “cheating” and his F1 career was over. Piquet is continuing his upward momentum however however and finished a impressive mid table in his first year of the immensely competitive Truck racing series in 2011. What does the future hold for this starlet.
