I was dreading a complete mess based on Wembley Stadium coming in 3 years behind schedule. The whole world is watching and I'm pleased to say it's going as smooth as can be.

I was actually hugely sceptical of it. My thinking was that they'd throw so much money at it that it couldn't fail. What I forgot was the second part of that...the not failing bit. It hasn't failed at all and has far and away exceeded my expectations.

In fact my only complaint is the positioning of the flame and the colour of the turf in the field hockey.

Having only one ring in the boxing is much better than the way they did it in other games.

For the BBC getting Ian Thorpe on TV was class. He didn't go for the cliche'd footballer type analysis.

Did you hear about the Irish commentators in the boxing and Badminton......very funny but very stupid.

The Aussies must be really hacked off. As well as having won just the one gold so far, their men's hockey team this evening let slip a 3-0 lead to draw 3-3 with Team GB

One thing that puzzles me: how come Murray's had to play in two finals in one day, why not spread the tennis matches out given there's another week to go? Same question, different sports, it's all cramed in to such a short space. Swimming has now finished too.

It does seem a bit harsh.

3-1 the Brits came back from was it not?

The Aussies complaining about the 3rd was pretty funny.

I like him I think he is a very good fighter. Some character to even get this far.

I think that all the Brits up tomorrow are well capable of getting medals except Jonas.

Completely agree <ok> Great to see British and Irish boxing on top of the amateur boxing world (kind of) although sadly no QPR diehards this year (see James DeGale <whistle>)

I've never watched so much sport in such a short space of time. It has become addictive and I've had to resort to the Red Button on the remote looking for the next fix. I've watched the main events on BBC (ie - ones we stand a chance of medals in) but have also flicked around to watch fencing, table tennis, weight lifting, beach volleyball (natch) etc.

To echo previous comments I have to agree that the only tits I've seen have been on the 34 stone judo bloke. All that exercise has left the women athletes devoid of frupps. At first I thought the American ladies cycle team had massive cameltoes but then realized that it was the padding in the gussetts of their riding suits <putkleenexaway>

Not many empty seats now that the track and field events have started and on Super Saturday the Olympic park looked heaving. Gutted I couldn't get tickets for the main event but will be attending the Paralympics in September to get an idea of what the park is like and to let the kids at least say they went rather than just watch it all on TV.
