Matth truly believes what he writes. He does not do it to wind people up but unfortunately he does get wound up by people who come here just to do that. He gets wound up by the press and by pundits talking about United FFS. He takes everything at face value. And he cannot help himself with the constant new thread creation. As long as people do not go over the top in replying to his post and mock him, he is very much inoffensive. He should be allowed back. The constant Matth baiting was just ridiculous. And United mods surely should have been able to deal with that.

Why would I have felt the need to add it? It's not what I was talking about with Piskie, he brings up the same quotes from months and even years because he keeps them all saved(or memorised). HIAG just uses them once to ridicule and then moves on from what I can see. The point was that he's got a grown man rather obsessed with trying to bring him down. Personally I think spending a lot of time wumming is a bit sad anyway but as this thread was about effective wumming I'd say HIAG is up there.
Matt brings absolutely nothing to the site but trouble and a loss of users. Several users have gone from the United board since he arrived.
I've backed up Matth many times in the past when others seemed to be baiting him, but lately in particular even I've been fed up. I know it's a symptom of Asperger's but when he's openly shouting abuse at people there's only so much people can take. If you have a psychopath, it's not really their fault that they want to kill people but you'd lock them up anyway. Saying all that and getting back on topic, I don't think you can class Matth as a WUM. A WUM is definitely someone who does it intentionally to get people's backs up.

I know what you mean. You could say for both it is not their fault. But there is a difference between the two categories. One has got a mental illness. In that you can do something (or try to do) something about it. Therapies etc to reduce its effects. A psychopath has got a personality disorder. Maybe he cannot help himself too but he hasn't got an illness in the strictest meaning of the word.
This. If the kid really has those mental problems, then I sympathise. But I dont think everyone should have to conform to suit one mentally ill individual, or why he should be exempt from the rules of this forum. Like DP said, if someone with a mental illness commits a murder, they still get locked up. It may explain their actions but it does not excuse them. I would also question those in care of such an individual for letting him access these kinds of places, as being here seemed to really mess with his head. I am assuming he has a carer, as he really didnt seem mentally competent enough to live on his own.

Think he lived with his parents. They may well have preferred him spending time on here rather than sitting around the house smearing **** on the walls and screaming "knob off tw(a)tfish" at his mum all the time...
I think people believe posters get wound up far too easily on these boards. Liverpool posters going to that thread aren't the ones getting wound up, they go there to wum the OP. Whether that works or not is a different matter. Its a football forum and people pass their spare time on here. If someone is trying to wum, it is often countered by another wum. This can be interpreted from different angles as each party is being wound up by the other but in reality, neither are particularly bothered really. The matth stuff annoys me but that's not so much matth directly and more to do with constantly seeing the bullshit that follows him whenever I logged on to the boards. Wums on our board don't bother me at all, I just roll with it and I'm fairly confident most other posters are the same. I know that is the case on the Liverpool board because we discuss most of them and I'm pretty certain posters on others boards do the same. We all believe we are "winding him up" but in reality, he's probably laughing just as much thinking he is getting just as much of a reaction. #seriouspost Amen to that
