No, obviously I happen to think that allowing someone to buy a home that they'd lived in for 10/20/30 years at a knock down rate and creating personal wealth is and was a good thing, this policy is still available to council tenants today, so if it was such a bad thing, then the ex Labour ministry would've shelved such a policy.

The reason that there are not as many homes available today isn't purely down to 80's housing stock policy, but the fact that people are living longer, there has been mass immigration and a draconian planning legislation for new builds in brown field sites.

Fine. Tell it to the Daily Mail and Telegraph readers and UKIP and BNP supporters who claim that there's a shortage of housing due to billions of illegal immigrants coming here and taking all the social housing.

No, you're talking about a completely different topic. The thread is about a woman who committed suicide due to the so-called 'bedroom tax' and the effect it had on her life.

Oh, and have a word with sweatband, he clearly thinks you're talking bollocks.

I think the points being missed ...

A stupid cow KILLED gerself over losing out on £20 a week whilst it appears her family did **** all.

My Mum's a pensioner and lives on her state pension. You know what, me and my brother make sure she has enough money.

Families need to do more to help their own.

Spot on and I don't read either.

No more immigrants until we get our own "house" in order.

Let all the Romanians immigrate to an independant Scotchland. Fine by me.

I was addressing Mindy before you hijacked my convo with him...

The woman committed suicide because of a deep emotion flaw in her psyche, anyone who does commit suicide is/has to be mentally ill, imo.

Using a £20 a week tax is a bollocks excuse.

i dont think he is talking bollocks. I agree with the right to buy. gives people who want to make something of themselves the chance to do so.

The only thing I do think is bollocks are the housing associations that own the part ownership houses as they really dont make it easy for people to buy them. I'm trying to sell one a young lad earnt 20k a year got granted a mortgage which again isnt easy then the housing association tunred him down because he had a bank loan.

I was referring to the housing shortage he alluded to which you said didn't exist.

One of you has to be talking bollocks. After all, you did say:

Why feel sorry for this woman and poke fun at Gary Speed?

    Mental illness can affect anyone.

The hypocrisy on here is staggering.

And we are unanimous in that.

I can only really comment on where I am. Which is a small city population of 100k. There are a lot of part ownerships houses unsold. there are alot of housing association houses all brand new sat empty. there are **** loads of boarded up council houses on some of the grotty estates.. I can only assume there are less actual council owned houses around but there certainly are lots of affordable options for people.

Hey, the only health issues I have are the serious mental health issues stemming from drug abuse.

After shooting the obese, we shoudl burn them and use the energy created to heat the houses of the elderly.
