i like their newer stuff...the old stuff was good in it's day i'm sure, but sounds a bit like pap now. Can't say that Lennon/McCartney weren't hugely talented songwriters though...amazing stuff :)

The thing is i have all the Beatles albums but rarely listen to them, i have all the Beasty boyz albums and keep going back to them.......... Music is a personal choice and shoving your views down others throats is pointless.

So true. Everyone likes different things and I love discussing music with people who can be respectful that my music taste is different than theirs - as is the case with every one of my friends. In fact my taste is so different to theirs that I had to go see Iron Maiden by myself. It was still awesome though.

And, yes, I am aware that I am a geek.

I sort of agree with him. I do like some of Coldplay's songs.

Duran Duran were a great band.

    Very under rated.

I was lucky to have older siblings so I grew up listening to Bowie, the Kinks, the Beach Boys, Bob Dylan etc. as well as classical music.

Coldplay are absolutely, ****ing, unequivocally ****e.

Beige in music form with a whiny, middle-class, woe-is-me tosser for a lead singer.
