I'm no exactly Mr. Motivator myself. Being white and afraid of dayglo spandex doesn't help either. I do **** all out here, you're lucky if I actually do an hours graft over a 12 hour shift. I lucked into this line of work though. If you're going offshore be a Technician or Analyst of some kind. We do **** all. The Chemist on here told me he's got a wee "bed" made up in his lab because he's got **** all work to do. ****s on about ÃÆÃâÃâ ââ¬â¢ÃÆââ¬Â âââ‰â¢ÃÆÃâÃââÃÆââââ¬à ¡ÃâìÃÆââ¬Â¦ÃâáÃÆÃâÃâ ââ¬â¢ÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ãâ¦Ã¡ÃÆÃââââ¬à ¡ÃÆââ¬Å¡Ãâã500 a day out here.
Depends where you work. Quite a lot of the modern platforms are connected up to "Floatels" which isn't producing oil or gas just a seperate accomodation platform. Generally you get you own cabin on them. Not that it makes a difference if you're sharing I manage to stangle Kojak plenty out here and I'm always sharing the cabin. There's a reason blister cream is the most popular item from the medic out here.
