Is that genuine? I don't listen to it. How sad if it is if someone's tried to put that sort of spin on it with such a ridiculous question. It's not a case of being necessary, it's a simple gesture of support from the supporters. It's what we're supposed to do. It seems they're desperate to put a negative spin on things to provoke folk to call in.
Yes I do believe it is. More sheep are starting to catch on to my dislike of Steve Bruce, although I presume for all the wrong reasons. I bet most of them don't even know about the Michael Turner and Altidore headbutt incidents.
Just listening now. http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/p02cpf9m from 27 minutes. Nothing wrong with what the caller says in my view. Well done. The presenters tried to spin the positive into a negative. The fact they spent more time talking about someone watching the fish house patty slappers speaks volumes. (No disrespect intended for patty slappers btw)
Is he our Melvyn? Nothing to do with AA's "Silent Majority" It's a mix of supporters who may have differing opinions on how the club is currently being run but are united in their support for the manager. It's completely unrelated to the name change issue.
The presenters are more than welcome to post on here, if they genuinely want to discuss the views of City fans.
Nothing sinister, hence the wink. But another poor game with inexplicable selections, shape and all will soon see Seasonal spirit turning sour in some quarters, so the sooner it's paraded the better.
The timing of the 'parade' if that's what's decided is determined by when we receive the banner, which is as described earlier. What needs to be discussed is what we do with it.
It was an intended jape at the subject of the flag and our most recent performances, forget it ffs. What other connotation could be put on the comment and the wink. Neve rmind.
I know what you mean, it was already decieded to leave a space for two more letters after the word trust and the T of trust will be easily removed ( velco ? ) Edit. don't know why your smiley wink is winking and mine isn't.
My suggestion for unveiling the banner carries on from DMD's post. Hull City should run a Facebook competition for under 16s to win the privilege for presenting the banner to the club at the Leicester City match (if that our first home game after delivery). A presentation to Steve Bruce and the captain in the centre circle before the match would be good if it doesn't interfere with the pre-match preparations. I would think 10 to 15 winners would be appropriate. I thought about restricting it to South Stand pass holders but that may be a little unfair. The winners could have a stadium tour, meet some of the team etc and receive vouchers for the club shop for £40. Just before kick off the banner could be passed from the South Stand to the East. A final resting place should be the South East Emergency exit in full view of the cameras, hanging down so its not in the way of anyone. The club could provide clappers with the same picture on to mark the occasion. As its Christmas we are giving something to the club and they give something to our young fans in return.
I just think it sounds a bit tacky presenting it to Steve Bruce and going a bit OTT in my opinion. However i do like the idea of it been passed from the south to the east stand and the resting place Obadiah mentions is fine by me as It's quite a clear position for everyone to see it.
