Bruce was asked to give us a wave twice today, which he did both times. He also, I noticed, acknowledged the fans support for him through one of our many renditions of "STEVE BRUCE, STEVE BRUCE, STEVE BRUCE", which he hasn't done before, I just thought that was nice. He knows the real fans are behind him.
Much more positive support today. Even when there were some groans at the ball being passed backwards before the opening goal, fans in my block applauded and cheered over the groans to encourage the players on.
I'm 50 next year, but if as a result of that particular chant, you DO get a wave, it makes me giggle like a 9 year old. I wonder why that is?
Looks OK (nothing like my drawing of Bruce, but hayho), if we want anymore doing I now know how it will be printed so I can work on better designs that'll be better for printing
The outlining did not work out, but it looked ok at a distance and that is what we needed. I think that for a first effort, the whole project works. I suggest a different tack for the next one. We ask the club to identify an area and fund a banner to fill the space. Mauled, you did get a mention in the press release.
I haven't contributed, not because I don't want to it's just I'm a remedial in many things and don't know how to do PayPal. I know it can't be that hard but seriously I really am special needs when it comes to that sort of thing. I'd happily send a cheque in for future reference, should there be another banner. Secondly I think Dutch deserves a big thumbs up for getting this sorted. Top effort.
That's cool, as an artist I'm over critical of my work anyway, but like I said I now know how the printers work so next time will be better
A massive thank you to all involved. Any grumblings about its position today should be aimed at ne and my impatience. Maulled1904 did a fantastic job of the design. John from the NW tigers did a massive favour putting himself out to deliver it across the pennines. Given I turned up at a vey busy time, James Mooney and the security staff could not have been more helpful. Barmy flags produced a brilliant flag.
Total agreement. We've cash over and the designer and flag makers could work with the club to get another banner of support.

I'm quite low down in the South Stand this season, close to the SW corner. It must have been somewhere behind me and didn't see it. Well done to Dutch, Mauled and John.
It would have looked good to see it passed around! I know its hard to look after when this happens but it works better! I had to point it out to people around me! Does look great though.
Have to say I didn't notice it - but then I wasn't looking for it so if it blends in I wouldn't have done! Great work by all - I haven't donated yet but will do if and when we start saving for something else.

I am in the West Stand and didn't notice it, though if I had realised it was going to be unveiled yesterday I guess I would have looked out for it.
