I tend to stick to old pyschobilly bands like the guanabatz. Seen them at the hairy dog in derby, seems to be the place for a lot of old bands these day.
The only thing remotely like I've that is a band called Tiger Army. Seen a few smaller punk bands too and Ska/Punk bands like Capdown and JB Conspiracy.
Yeah tiger army ain't really the same, still ok though. O;ld school psychobilly was heavily influenced by rockabilly, new school is more in a punk mode.
basically psychobilly was a mixture of rockabilly and punk, usually had a slap bass... bands like guanabatz, meteors and king kurt are the only one's who really got big (on a tiny scale)
Bowie as Ziggy was mind blowing for a 12 year old me, and I managed to see him live in all his personas - I also liked the Thin White Duke for onstage presence
Saw the Pogues a few times. Very hit and miss depending on who was and wasn't pissed in the band. When they were on form they were excellent.
Saw the Meteors once - they were great but didn't go near the dance floor as people were hammering each other.
I don’t know that much about him , but I love that song he does with Kylie ,, video is brilliant . My brother is a huge fan .
