Shock horror, Messi has won it. Four times in a row, that's a record.

    :D Made me laugh.

I think Messi should have been stripped of the title for dressing like a domino.

In the picture of Messi and Blatter they look like Blatters his dad. Maybe Messi is his love child which is why they keep giving it to him. (I remember a couple of times in the past where a player deserved to get it again but didnt and the speculation was because they didnt give it to the same player too many times).

The voting makes for interesting reading... it's like the Eurovision song contest, you're almost 99.9% certain who will vote for who due to allegiances.

A bit of Eurovision going on there.
Ronaldo seemed pleased that Messi won though

The world XI were a joke. You could replace that whole back four with people from other leagues. I would have Pirlo in the midfield and possibly Mata. RVP should easily have a spot in there.

I've been living under a rock for the past few months so please elaborate. I heard there is a rift between Ronaldo/Mourinho and the rest of the Real Madrid team. Is this true

Ronaldo simply has to step it up. Messi is on another level... very few can argue that.

It truly is a joke. As someone stated, at least one of the Chelsea defenders or Cech should be in there. RVP had an incredible year too... but it would be hard for him to displace Falcao (considering he won the Europa cup and Super cup). Pirlo should definitely be in there though.

There is a rift between the Spanish players and the Portugese players because they think Jose panders to Ronaldo too much, while Ronaldo threw a hissy fit about how not all his team mates fully backed him for this award.

Not a single Juve defender even after going the whole season unbeaten. Pique had an average year but gets in because he plays for Barca.

Yeah, the back five is pretty nonsensical. Only Ramos deserves to be there for me. My back five would be...

    Cech

    Lahm Ramos Hummels Cole
