I had way too much time off. All I've done is drank and eat. This mornings 5.00am kick off was not all that enjoyable. I have had the odd day in as it never really stops, but I had got used to doing as I please. I've enjoyed the last week and a bit just getting up, having a bagel and coffee, watching a bit of cricket. I did go to the gym three times last week to start the shedding of xmas merry. That was pretty horrific. Yeah not sure why you brought this up Dorty, I feel like **** thinking about what I've lost.
Thank you for your invaluable advice oh wise one. I have some advice for you also. Don't pull the noose too tight when you are having those cheeky chokey pokey bum ****s.
Spent the last 34 years working in bars and hotels so no time off over the Christmas period, left work to care for my elderly mother so had the first full Christmas at home since I was 16 years old, thoroughly enjoyed it but would prefer to be working in truth as it's what I have done for so long and the atmosphere on Christmas Day is very special when you make someone else happy.
Well that was fecking awful. And back tomorrow, and the day after, and the day after that, and the day after that. FFS.
Seems like Mitro enjoyed his time off. Therefore, I would say that he did appreciate it and it wasn't wasted.
Started a new job today. Thought it was going to be more varied and customer based. Turned out it's basically routine admin. Good thing it pays well and has decent hours though.
Still have another 10days to go of my holiday but just realised as I sit here at midnight in New York answering emails and editing a report and listening to my wife and daughter snoring that there is no such thing as holiday when you have a VPN connection to the office. Its bloody cold here as well (-8C at the moment).
