I'm sure they won't mind if you elaborate, as long as you ask them nicely, and there's no doubt an 'any other business' agenda item.

I know it's not in their power, but it's worth taking the time to keep these things live or it all gets left until it's too late yet again.

Just who is asking the question? thought it was a well known fact that there are too many problems with away fans in the upper west.

I'm not sure I understand the question. I'm asking the question on here, to gauge the fans opinion. City are asking the question of the SAG as they need their permission to move the away fans up there. In itself, there's nothing to stop away fans going in upper tiers, plenty of clubs do it already, though until the meeting I don't know the specific issues there are at the KC, with regard to segregating seats and concourses, turnstiles, exits etc.

Just to add to my previous reply, I think that, so they can make a more informed recomendation , it's important that the SAG are clear that there are a fair few fans that feel the away fans are in the wrong place, so there is liable to be calls for them to move somewhere.

They could be under the mistaken belief that fans are happy with the current set up, due to the seeming lack of protest over the removal of home fans in Upper West, or the clear failure of the previous evictions.

Move them to where ever Dutch sits, so he has to move again.

I wouldn't mind, it'd keep the price of my ale down, and the landlord would be chuffed.

I don't see why we cannot have more options if the fans views are to be presented to the SAG. Moving away supporters doesn't make economic sense when they will be paying £30 per seat at the most next season. Moving them to the North East corner is a failure. They need to be moved and the North West corner is one of the most obvious places.

The north west corner is a **** idea, it's impractical and it's based on false terminology and promises. How very 2016.

Its just the mirror image of the North East corner, but out of the way of the TV cameras and leaving the club to charge more than £30 for the seats in the upper west.

It's the Safety Advisory Group, its only concern is safety within the stadium and that's all they're interested in. The club decides where the away fans go, it's them who need convincing if they're to go somewhere else, the SAG doesn't concern itself with economics.

The final result of the vote (across here and Twitter, total 484 votes) was Remain 350 (72%) and Leave 134 (28%).

Details of the things discussed at the meeting are embargoed until after the minutes are published, so I'm afraid I can't reveal anything yet, but I'll post a full update and the minutes as soon as I can.

If they can only take safety into account, it seems to be the wrong place to have the vote for.

If it's the right place, then it should be the wider question in my view, particularly as a number of fans have suggested it, so they'll want their views represented too.

I've already made the point, today's meeting was to discuss if it was safe to put away fans in the West Upper or not. That was all that was being discussed and though it would have no effect on the decision on how safe it was, I just wanted a guide on how fans felt on the possibility of it happening.

The general point on where people want the away fans can still be discussed and put to the club, today simply wasn't the forum for it.

The point is that, as presented, the vote result is misleading.

It doesn't mean fans want them to remain, it means they don't want them in west upper. As the vote made no difference to the SAG recommendacious, it should have been more comprehensive.

As it is, it just means it needs doing again so that it is actually representative of fans views.

As they read the thread on here, they were well aware that it didn't tell the whole story, but only the fact that there was no fan pressure for them to be moved to the West Upper was of direct interest as far as their decision on this specific issue was concerned.

It's reassuring to see that they put a bit of effort in to finding out a more representative view of fan opinions. It could help prevent the cock ups of the last moves that's lead us here in the first place.

Remain where they are - we don't want opposing fans throwing objects / spitting etc on our own fans in Lower West

To be honest I don't think that's a huge issue, other clubs manage with away fans above home ones, although I'm not aware of safety issues around concourse segregation etc
Personally I just think we could do with a bit of stability and stopping yet another reason to piss of fans (those moved from Upper West now, followed by moving more from NW...some if whom might be the same people!)
If there is a long term view that fans in NW corner would be best, then I genuinely don't think that could be achieved successfully with the current owners, it would be done in a cack handed, antagonistic manner and so I don't think it's worth it even if the final idea would be a good one
If there is a new owner that is better engaging then maybe it could be revisited, but it needs long lead in times and specific engagement with those most affected (and maybe even some type of a financial encouragement (couple of months free for example) rather than the current way of making you feel like you need to move because you're a leper
So for me, for now, they should just leave it alone

The sensible an best option is NW corner.
However tucking em up in UW is an option. Other clubs house away fans above home fans (NUFC, SAFC etc) without apparent problems, so it sounds like there is a strong element of NIMBYism in the W stand. 'Let other parts of the ground be spat, shouted out, abused by those horrid noisy fans. We want to watch the game in silence in the West'
