Lladra's body language seemingly admitting defeat here and Andy gets 2nd break. All over bar the shouting methinks. It would take a total turnaround for the Frenchman to get back into the match now.

Lala, I've only just got up!

I've missed the lot, isn't that shocking? My bed is a giant magnet lol.

Excellent news to wake up to.

I wish I'd seen the match, it sounded great, going by your excellent commentary, so thanks for that :)

I'll have to find a replay of the match.

I'm pleased you said Llodra wasn't a push over.

    Well done Andy!

Right then. Next up for Andy, is Kukushkin (I've never heard of him...I'm such a tennis duffer)

Round 4 is to be played Sunday - time to be confirmed.

    Magic Murray!

Just seen the result. Was it as one-sided as the score suggests? I know Llodra was nursing a knee injury just before I left the computer.

It certainly started even enough ST but after the 2nd set and injury it ended one sided which was a shame but it was an extremely entertaining match with Lladra making several attempts at between-the-legs shots (official name anyone???) One shot he took around the net beating Andy and there were comedy spots too - Andy even managed a smile or two lol. All very entertaining.

The commentry saw one negative in Andy's game and that was his second serve which they thought was a little short, this they felt would be picked on by the likes of Fed, Nadal, Djokovic etc. Having said this Andy was clinical in his tennis today. <ok>

Andy v Kei Nishikori - Wednesday - not before 3.30 am UK time.

It's a funny time for me, I might get up about 4.30 and come and see how he's playing then go back to bed.

Phew. I awoke this morning and got it into my head that Murray had lost. Don't know why, just the pessimist in me I suppose. So I was delighted to discover on reading Ceefax that not only had he won but he had done so in straight sets and in under two hours.

Djokovic v Ferrer next. Let's hope Ferrer pushes him all the way.

So much for Ferrer giving him a hard game :emoticon-0120-doh:

    6-3, 6-3, 6-1 to Djokovic

Yes, I'm talking to myself again.

No you're not, ST, I'm here now :)

Well, I didn't manage to wake up during the night so I missed it all!

Does this mean it's a Murray v Djokovic SF?

If so, then I think Andy can get the better of Nole this time.

Then if Rafa can beat Fed....this will mean a Rafa v Andy Final and a good chance of Andy achieving his first Slam.

Should it be a Andy v Fed Final then I won't be so confident....but who knows....certainly not me <confused>

    Yep, it's Andy v Djokovic.

Of the four semi-finalists, Nadal had the hardest quarter final match, having been on the court for three and a half hours against Berdych. It'll be interesting to see how he starts against Fed. If he can get off to a good start I think he'll win.

Sadly, I think it'll be a Nadal v Djokovic final.

I'm surprised you'd think Murray would do better against Nadal than Fed. I thought his record against the Swiss was quite good?

I just worry about Andy playing Fed in a Slam Final...but we seem to be seeing a different Andy, mentally, in this tournament, so you never know.

I'm very hopeful that Andy will be able to beat Djokovic in the semi's.....it's just a feeling I have.

Gotta go out again now....more tennis chat later :)

Murray v Djokovic - Friday 8.30 am UK time.

I will be going out at 10.00am but should be able to watch till then.

I'm hoping Andy will quickly dispose of Djokovic in 3 straight sets. Djokovic won't know which way the ball went! <laugh>

    Come on Andy!
