    Yeah, even though circumstances are slightly different with Ings (mainly his age + injury history) it is still a statement that we can keep hold of our top players. I don't expect to suddenly always be keeping the likes of Mane/VVD whenever they want to leave, but this will show that top players are happy at the club and that we aren't complete push overs.

    The biggest example of this is Jan Bednerak. Who i thought would most definately leave.. As he would surely be attracting bigger teams with only 1 year left on his deal.
    Just shows we can keep hold of them for now, Especially with Ralph at the club, 2/3 years down the line.. Sell them for mega money too. Win Win.

    I'm more optimistic but haven't we heard this before? A similar statement preceded Nathan Clyne's departure as I recall.

    Depends on what/how it was said. By "denying" it, he could well have just refused to confirm it. Was anyone on this forum actually on the fans forum and heard it first hand??

    On the Fans' Forum last night Semmens said Crooks' report is not true. Discussions ongoing. Club want Danny to stay and hope he does too.
