I used to work as business support in Children’s services and have seen that a fairly common theme for those kids is not being settled have moving about a lot. I am not saying it’s always the case but can definitely lead to a difficult childhood by never being settled.
I think you are right must have miss read/remembered must have just been talking about keeping it secret from family in general
So you work for a company for 3 yrs, take a better job for a competitor & leave without a goodbye, thanks, ****k off or whatever? Btw, not you but that’s rather unusual for me. You might say, maybe he did internally but footballs intrinsically connected to the fans as DI has already confirmed by issuing his AV statement.
Ive left lots of jobs by the back door. Wasnt aware my colleagues were paying my wages and had a say in how I exited a business. I kept in touch with the ones who meant something to me.
Knew he would do some kind of acknowledgement. I was annoyed and disappointed in his decision to leave us for Villa, but I didn’t think that made him a dickhead. He’s always been described as a nice lad and loveable character everywhere he’s been and that very much came across on his time with us too. We don’t know what transpired towards the end of his time here as it seems like relationships became strained and stances altered. But that’s football. Thanks for 3 great years Danny, but now the only thing that should concern us is adequately replacing him and finishing the transfer window strongly.
I'm glad he has posted something. It's not long but I think he genuinely means it. I certainly won't be booing him when he returns to St Mary's in November (injury permitting).
Great player for us, it’s been a pleasure. One day there will be an interesting book that tells the story. Till then, see ya Danny, hope you’ve peaked as far as goals go and I don’t ever want to see you score at st Mary’s again. im a Southampton fan and you’re a Villa striker.
The discussion about moving family and children around is why I’m sure Shane Long is happy to accept being a bench player for us, his family is very settled here. Loans to nearby clubs allow him to keep them settled too.
I think fans are taking this badly because Ings is a Southampton lad. We seem to think we are owed loyalty from him or he would stay out of love.
The guy is a multi-millionaire. He earns in one week what most of us earn in 2/3 years. Read that again and let it sink in.
