I get the feeling he isn't going to sign. He won't go out like VVD or Lallana etc, but will leave graciously when his contract is up. We have been good for him, but he has also been good for us. Just a gut, no facts or stories.
There was nothing about Bednarek or Armstrong before they signed. Ings is our key player therefore the stories were all going to be about him. It means nothing that it's all gone quiet.

As much as I hope Ings signs a new contract I am beginning to think we are going to cash in on him in the summer. Especially with these reports of our dept and this line from the Toby Steele interview “Come the summer, we hope we can generate some transfer funds and then reinvest them into the squad.“ Ings would get us a fair chunk of cash but would we find another quality striker?
I remember that some time ago Ralph made a veiled comment about releasing people who didn't commit....that could apply to Danny, but we might decide to keep him (regardless of losing money) should we get into Europe. The underlined bit is my thoughts not Ralph's.
