Coutinho is a fabulous talent and was the real difference between the two sides - would be a real shame, not just for Liverpool but also the EPL, if he gets tempted away ... Salah looked pretty good but the defending by Fuchs left a bit to be desired and Schmeichel seemed to be caught in two minds which made the finish easy.

Fabulous strike by Coutinho for the second but we were punished for not closing him down quickly enough ....

Quite pleased with how we are shaping up to be fair ... lot more depth and quality than last season.

 

Congrats Sky, I thought you were superb mate. Nailed on for the title this year I reckon.

 

Coutinho will go to Barca, I suspect next summer though. I'm hoping we get 2 more years out of him but I can't see it. He seems to be happy at Liverpool. When his time comes I'll wish him the best, assuming he goes out without causing a fuss!

Salah is going to surprise a lot of people next season. People seem to think he won't do anything as he 'flopped' at Chelsea. The fact is he was too young to break into that Chelsea team at the time, he's matured as a player massively since.

Ndidi (sp?) is the one I'm keeping an eye on in your team, looked very good yesterday and what I've seen of him before he's clearly turning into your star player. If he has a storming season I think a big club will take him next year.

Did you see when Mahrez and Coutinho had a head to head and Coutinho just slipped past him with a little trickery, Mahrez just pussied out and pulled him down by his shirt. Different level of player totally imo.

Nah not at all. We don't look too shabby ourselves tbf. Should be a good season though.

 

The last player Chelsea deemed not good enough who went abroad and came back was are Bruene (sp) so enough said there.

Re Ndidi, as his best buddy Iheanacho seems to be on the way in hopefully having each other there will keep the other around longer. Then again we thought that about Mahrez when Slimani signed

 

De Bryne (sp!) and Lukaku seem to have done well, so yea it's a non starter of an argument tbh.

Best buddy talk seems to be big this summer, there was even an article suggesting that if Moreno left then Coutinho would most likely go too, as they're best mates

 

Don't get too carried away Bluey. Everyone knows that it will be next year.

Basically it's like Ndidi has influenced Iheanacho to come to us so if he buggers off in January how would that look? They're humans too and it's like you or I being stitched up by our best mate. I know at the end of the day money will talk but it's a nice thought that other influences like that may count
