Just a bit. Fantastic innings from Smith.

Understand where the booing was coming from. Can’t help but feel Warner missed a chance to put the whole issue to bed by walking when he nicked that first ball.

Smith is a fantastic batsman (and a cheat, of course). It could be him v England for the Ashes this summer. It's very tedious how he rocks up and seems to score heavily every time against us. His mother is English, we should have poached him years ago.

Smith looks as though he played very well (I didn’t see most of his innings) but some very poor captaincy by Root at the end part of the Aussies innings.

The pitch looked very difficult in the early conditions - though it's worth adding we bowled well and they batted poorly.

Tomorrow the will be stages where the conditions are the same and if they bowl well we'll need to just bat a bit better. After 30-40 overs the ball did nothing at all and batting tomorrow after the ball goes soft should be fine. We just need to make sure we've still got some actual batsmen at the crease...

It's game on. Evens probably after today but worth adding that when you lose the toss you'd generally be happy to be evens at the end of the day.

Big deal, Steve Smith has an English mother. Get over it.

It's really not uncommon in cricket ( or any sport really) for people to be eligible for more than one team. It's not a big deal. As it happens they nearly all play for the country they grew up in rather than their parentage or where they were born but it's up to the player.

Also, a great morning for England. Key handful of overs after lunch, blunt them then and batting will get much easier. Obviously we can still mess it up...
