Oh bollocks. The nightmare begins - win the toss, bat and 50-3. Not as if we're losing wickets to great balls either. WTF was Cook doing having a lash a Lyon just post drinks? Done the hard work and got himself in, had a bit of luck and then chucks it away playing a nothing shot against a pie-chucker by international standards. You may have noticed that I am ever so slightly annoyed by the morning session thus far.

I was extremely supportive of the Lionesses, I thought they were excellent, if you read my posts I was lamenting the fact that our men's team didn't show the aptitude and enthusiasm of the ladies!
 
190-3 If we can get to 250 or more before we lose the next wicket we should end up with a half decent 1st innings score after all
 
If we can get 450 that would be a decent start, though I can see the Aussies racking up at least that on this wicket, so we need to make sure our bowlers are on song and don't give away silly runs.

Tough to assess. I don't think the Aussies bowled that well today and cook and buttler threw their wickets away. If a couple of their batters get in it could be a very hard couple of days in the field for us. If we can stagger over 400 at least it may put a bit of pressure on their batters.
