    Hi Chaps

    When is the next ashes?

Desperate to watch a bit of cricket! Apart from seeing the West Indies in a warm up match as a child in the early 90's, i've never actually seen a game.

P.s it would be nice if we could get the cricket thread going a little bit!

    2013.

Never mind the Ashes, we're playing South Africa this summer. Should be a fascinating contest: the top two test sides squaring up, England with home advantage but SA won here last time.

I am hopefully for the first time going to watch a day's play, my mate is organising it, either Trent Bridge or Edgbaston he says. Are they even playing at Trent Bridge? I dunno. He's offered to sort out the tickets, transport and accomodation. I'll have to get a few rounds in, do my bit.

    Sounds good mate.

    I'd love to watch it.

    Any idea on costs?

**** knows. I'd guess about £30 to watch a day's play. £80 for a hotel for a night. £50+ for the bar tab depending on your alcoholicness.
