    That will be 4-0 lol

I think their batting is decent especially with Clarke there. I think they are very poor bowling and our batting will be far to strong and that should swing it for us. Would love to see Root get a run, he's a brilliant bat. Think our top batsman will be Cook who is always consistent in the ashes.

The biggest cricket competition in the world with the smallest trophy gets underway today - Any cricket fans out there (other than Me and Cest) - I can't wait - think we'll win 3-1

I reckon we will win 4-0. I cant see the Aussies winning a match, they may get a draw as it's bound to rain at some point.
    COME ON ENGLAND !

I'm a massive cricket fan Marcus. I played in the Durham Coast league for nearly 10 years.

If you scroll down though, this thread has already been done mate.

huge cricket fan Marcus, used to be an Umpire due to the fact I was crap at actually playing the game. I can't wait for this series, although I fear it could be tighter than a lot of people think, I am going for a 2-0 win to England with a few close draws along the way

I know but this is the day it starts 83! I played for Coundon at Junior and B team level and kept wicket for one match at first team level - was always a keeper but we're talking over 20 years ago now! Never a great batsman but could hold onto a wallnut thrown at 80mph with the gloves on! Just loved it but sadly my age has caught up with me now and arthritis in my wrist (too much ****ing maybe?)

Cant see us winning, all i'm after is a spirited performance! the new coach has stated we'll play attacking aggressive cricket! i agree with everyone on here except i think our batting has been piss poor of late and have relied too much on the tail enders to get the runs, clarke's a concern for me with his dodgy back, take him out and we are completely screwed.. as long as cowan doesn't make the team and we have a crack i'll be happy fella's :emoticon-0103-cool:

I'm going for 5-0 to England. Don't think the Aussies will be able to cope with our bowling attack in English conditions

If Jimmy gets it to swing well, we will destroy the aussies, if he gets it a little bit, we will beat the aussies. Im expecting a lot from Joe Root, he shone in the champions trophy, some head games already by Clarke saying he is glad compton isnt playing, but JR is a much better player IMO

Never underestimate the Ausies...They are not as bad as people are saying at test cricket, and will undoubtedly raise their games against us..Come on England!!!

Ball seaming early on....need to get through the first hour..then build a good score. I think we have too much for the Aussies, but as Reg says, the Aussies always raise their game against us.

Australia are going through a transition but they really are poor, on paper and form, we should hammer them.

Really excited by Cook and Root opening the batting, these could be a formidable partnership for many years and with Trott there as well to hold an end up, we should be too strong for the Australia even though Cook is out now.
