Again sorry for my dodgy 'transfer' method; how's this for a pair of old codgers! <iframe width="1019" height="573" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/CXI4LBG3OVw" frameborder="0" allow="accelerometer; autoplay; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture" allowfullscreen></iframe> Udo and Alice giving it laldy!
When I was a young teenager 2 groups mattered. The Ooo and the SDG. I don’t ever think Stevie did better work afterwards, but few would agree. Thanks for putting that up.
I have seen the Rollong Stones twice in Germany; once with my Mum (think she was around her mid sixties at the time) in Frankfurt am Main and once in Munich where I picked up tickets for 'The Stones' and Bruce Springsteen for gigs two days apart!
Have you heard the double CD of Stevie Winwood and Eric Clapton at Madison Square Garden from 2009. Great vocals (and guitar) from SW and EC sublime as usual.
My 'hero', role model and all time favourite 'down under' man! Are you with me? When I bought the book years ago when travelling for HM Revenue & Customs I used to burst out laughing on the trains.
The things the good old Googleator can open up to us all is brilliant. I'd recently posted a clip of the Stones doing It's All Over Now, thinking it the be all and end all. Then along came a band I'd never heard of, The Valentinos. They were the first to release the song which was written by Bobby and Shirley Womack. The Valentinos band members were Bobby, Cecil, Harry, Friendly Jr. and Curtis Womack. Sam Cooke produced it for them. I love it. The drum fills are sensational.
Discovering 'old' and 'new' music is one of the few joys left to old codgers! The body might not be able to function the way it used to and the mind might dim somewhat however the outright pleasure in tapping your feet to 'real' music never leaves you! Cheers!
