Should be pretty straight forward Flos. Finished 8th twice and then 5th Target was top 4 this season. Exceeded that, finished 2nd and back in the champions league. I can see how this might be difficult to comprehend for a fan staring at the championship, but thems the facts Flossy lad
Expectations change. Has he exceeded expectations set at the start of the season? For sure, yes. Has he exceeded expectations set from 2 months ago? Hell no!
Yeah that's the galling part, but like you say, if that was offered to us at the start of the season, we'd have chomped ya ****ing arm off. If we'd have drawn and lost those last few games at the beginning of the season and then battled City to a whisker of the title, it would be hailed as a massive achievement. So as gutting as it is, it's still been a brilliant season for Arsenal who have exceeded all expectations And anybody who disagrees can **** themselves in the bum with broom handle with loads of splinters.
Maybe you need some kind of visual tutorial to understand that finishing 2nd after finishing 8th twice is a vast improvement ?
If Leicester are no longer in the PL, does that mean we lose the talents of Fosse on the PL forum?! please log in to view this image
If you win your final game ... and Citeh win both of theirs, you'll finish 10 points behind the Champions ... just as you did in 2015/16 ... so remote second again ... might even be worse than that, coz your wheels have well and truly come off ... were you driving the bus perchance, Ponks?
No mate ... got a timeshare arranged by @Spurlock as a contingency ... I've got the Penthouse Suite and Libby and the Leeds boys have options over the box room ...
I probably should have put quotation marks around the word talent, aye! Would be dull without him though.
Rather than concentrate on Arsenal's points haul in 2015/16 and this season Flos You should probably concentrate on the difference between Lesta's
Not winning the league is gutting given where we were. Target was top 4 this season, so overall for the season, expectations have been exceeded. Challenge now is to strengthen in the summer and be capable of challenging City again, and sustain a decent Champions league run Given the season we've had, the football we've played and the manner in which Arteta has established himself as a top coach, we're now more likely to be able to attract the type of players that we need to do that.
