He's 22... He also spent a lot of time injured. Last season I saw some good performances, and some good defensive displays from him. He is improving quickly IMO.
i actually believe selling rvp to manu will weaken them and strengthen us. This is because if not rvp they will buy a better striker than him which isn't as hard as people are making out. if we dont sell him we will lose him on a free to utd next year. Now we can swindle utd buy a player like damiao or llorente whilst simultaneously gaining the edge over utd.
also more injury prone and fewer years left at the top. Also you never know how damiao and llorente may work out but i personally believe they will fit in better.
Yes, but they certainly aren't better. Who ever ends up with van Persie in their team ends up with the best striker in the world. Pure and simple.
I could same the same thing about Laurent Koscielney. Wont bother you with the stats again but lets just say our goals conceded stats when he plays are actually awful. Gibbs has been plagued by injuries, he seems to come good after a run of games.
You seem to be the only person that doesn't rate Koscielny. Who do you think is the best CB in the league anyway? I'm guessing you'd say Kompany?
I rate him as a player just not as a 'defender'. I'm old fashioned in the belief that I think a CB's job is to stop the other team from scoring. Vidic then Kompany.
So, you rate him as a player, but not as a defender? He's a defender, so you don't rate him? Well, what I want to do is show you some stats that will show you how well Koscielny can perform compared to Vincent Kompany. Before I go into them, remember that Koscielny is playing in a team which is weaker defensively and has inferior defensive cover compared to Kompany and Manchester City. please log in to view this image Seeing as you like stats so much, does he still seem so bad?
I think trying to compare Laurent Koscielny to Vincent Kompany is ridiculous. Koscielny is a very good CB, but Kompany is world class.
RVP joing united will also mean the end of either Welbeck or Hernandez. Losing a young talent like Welbeck for RVP would be bad business imo. Maybe Fergie is starting to go senile?
Ummm, okay. 1. Better positionally 2. Better tackler 3. Miles better in the air 4. Stronger 5. Better leader 6. Better organiser 7. A threat from set-pieces 8. Composed on the ball 9. Better at reading the game in front of him.
