He seems more of the Van Der Vaart type. Maybe VDV is off to Schalke finally?

I'm really disappointed there is no talk of Arsenal getting him. Most Spurs players are plonkers for one reason or another, so it would be out of keeping for such an intelligent and talented young player to be going there.

I wonder what happened to Liverpool's bid?

Wenger will know plenty of people who have worked with m'villa, and I'm sure he is well connected in France so he will know everything about him, and what he dose of the pitch to, so if he has decided that his temperament is not right then you can be sure he has good knowledge and reason for believing this.

I just read about him, he sounds like a beast, though he might be a little rough for us. On second thoughts though, he would be perfect for the Premier league. I would buy him just to unleash him on Stoke!

I've said this a few times, once more won't hurt.

I think we should sign Allan McGregor. He has just left Rangers so he is a free agent. Fabianski wants to leave and Almunia has (thankgod) already been shown the door.

We need an experienced, top quality keeper to make sure Sczesz doesn't get complacent. He's 30 so still has a few more years in him and he has experience of winning. It's a no-lose scenario if we sign him.

Macgregor is a better keeper than schezney, iv watched him a lot because im from Scotland and would say he is the better keeper. His family life and his WAG are a bit of a worry, most weeks she is in the papers up here, she even battered Allan a couple of years ago, gave him a black eye, and has been fighting with other rangers WAGS in the past lol.

Well - if every WAG had smacked their man for every goal conceded by us last year - there would have been a lot of bruises on display in training.

Am I the only person a little alarmed that a bloke got beaten up by his missus ?

I mean, don't get me wrong, I would not condone hitting a woman, but before her hand even got to me I would've grip'sed her up and reminded her that .. she really didn't want to do that !!!

To be fair Allan is a bit of a playboy and has cheated on her several times, I know a few people who live in Glasgow and are in the nightclub industry, he is often in some of the high end nightclubs, pretty much a different burd every weekend if you believe the stories, apparently Leah likes her threesomes to haha. That's why I'm surprised he wanted to leave Glasgow, he pretty much has it made up here, but maybe he fancies a new challenge and wants to knuckle down, I think Leah had a kid to him recently so maybe he has settles down lol.

Ian McNicholl, 47, has painful memories to remind him of the terror he endured when he found himself a male victim of domestic violence.

His then fiancee, Michelle Williamson, punched him in the face several times, stubbed out cigarettes on his body, lashed him with a vacuum cleaner tube, hit him with a metal bar and a hammer and even poured boiling water on to his lap. That at 6ft he was almost a foot taller than her made no difference. He still has burn marks on his left shoulder from when she used steam from an iron on him. Williamson, 35, is now serving a seven-year jail sentence for causing both actual and grievous bodily harm.

During the trial last year McNicholl told the court that, during more than a year of attacks and intimidation, he had lost his job, home and self-respect. He had been too scared to go to the police and had considered suicide. She was only arrested after two neighbours saw her punch him.

Sentencing her at Grimsby crown court last year, judge John Reddihough told Williamson: "Over the period of time you were with him you destroyed him mentally and seriously harmed him physically, leaving him with both physical and mental scars."

Bloomin ek, that is some proper abuse. Maybe if your misses was Grace Jones or Charlie Dimmock but if you're a foot taller....Never would i take any abuse from my girl!

I'm sorry but .... I can only laugh when I see stories like that <laugh>

Men getting domestically abused ..... I can't help but feel ... "serves you right for being a doormat". Men are naturally stronger than women, so unless your woman is bigger than you, quite a bit bigger than you ... you better have a good bloody excuse for getting beaten up by her !

Any man who cannot stop their woman abusing them, say .. after the first slap/punch/kick, deserves no sympathy.
