@remembercolinlee Wasn't the issue Wenger and others had about paying the wages of the player and putting them into a team to damage rivals but not them? I.e encouraging big spending on players that are not needed so that they can be loaned out tacticaly. I dont think he has an issue with the principle of loaning a player who isn't getting game time at his current club.
i just remembered a dream I had last night. Drogba and Anelka were both fired from that Chinese club, and Drogba was signed by Arsenal. can't see it happening but you never know...
Cheers mate... that makes sense....boy am I glad that I asked a reasonable question rather than going into a wenger is a hypocrite rant!!!!
it would make no sense if we don't sign a new midfielder, Wenger obviously wants one, which is why we were trying to sign Sahin for a while, only for it to break down. So if we don't get a proper midfielder, then this is a big failure, because you can't be out there trying to sign one, if you didn't need one. so far it looks like we will sign nobody, and when i say nobody, even if we do manage to sign someone at this stage, it seems it will be some nobody.
Is that the one with about 100 followers? If yes, it is fake I think it's naive to trust Diaby and hope for Wilshere and Rosicky to return to top form straight after they return. A midfielder would do well for us. As long as Chamakh stays, I don't think we need another forward and we are still stuck with Arshavin. At least Park is gone, one of the most mysterious transfer in the history of the Premier League.
at this point i don't think we will sign anybody, there is no news, no rumours, and when that's the case, it usually means nothing's happening. last summer when we made all our signings, there was news coming out during the whole day about who we after and updates etc, but there is nothing now. i hope i'm wrong and we bring in quality player, because if we don't, then wenger, and the board can all go **** themselves, that is, if they don't make some quality signings, and i say, QUALITY SIGNINGS. 3 summer signings from Arsenal is simply not good enough, counting the fact we lost 2 key players, Arsenal needed big improvements from last season, and adding 3 players, while losing your 2 key players, is not that improvement by any means, all it means is the same **** old story, no real improvement to the squad, and the usual fight for a top 4 spot, where the **** is the ambition in this club? these aren't the moves of a 'big' club, they're the moves of a club with a lack of ambition, that's happy to keep the status quo position of barely ending in the top 4, while being no where in sight of the top 2 teams.
I think if Arsenal weren't going to sign anyone they'd have just said at the beginning that their business is done as they have done in the past. I think Wenger's trying to wangle something personally, but it doesn't look like anything's far along yet. If we weren't to sign anyone I doubt it'd be for want of trying.
This is terrible. Are we seriously going to rely on Abou ****ing Diaby? When not If, he gets injured, then what? Ramsey? Coquelin? Wenger talks about not rushing Wilshere and not putting pressure on him, well that is exactly what is going to happen now. ****ing idiots.
I heard on the radio that Park played 6 mins prem football, had 4 touches of the ball and no shots on goal. Thought he was rated...mind you Dos Santos was rated...and we've been trying to offload him for years. Redknapp once said that if Dos Santos could pass a nightclub as well as he could pass a ball then he'd be a great player!
Partly because we got the new players in late, and we had a disastrous start to the season. That was remedied to a large extent this season.
It's all but clear now that we're done in the transfer market, there is absolutely no chatter, no news, no nothing. And if a miracle does happen, and we sign somebody, at this stage I highly doubt it will be a super special signing as Wenger always talks about, and most likely some average player, whom Arsene will tout as being 'special'. Going to be another **** season for us, this club has shown they have no ambition. I can be proven wrong though, if we go out now and make at least 2 quality signings, but I bet that won't happen, this is the perfect opportunity for the club to silence the critics like me, and prove, that we do have big ambitions and do have plans of moving back to the top, i'm a doubter, so they can make me a believer.
