why? oh, have I supposedly been 'slapped down'? I must look and find where I've said how massive we are, and how all these CL managers are just queueing up to manage us. Hiddink was the most voted for manager on the 'who will be our next manager' thread, after he distance himself as soon as he heard it became Capello, oh, it was just too funny, almost as funny as you lot trying to slag off a small club like mine that has won one less cup than you in the last 20 years (although been to the same amount of finals), and we won't go into the Olympic stadium, otherwise we might have to mention the hand-out the government is giving your club to help regenerate the local area because the locals rioted and set stuff on fire when a local crack dealer died. delusion - big club - Hiddink reality - mediocre premier club - Sherwood
Roll on the Olympic stadium eh!...perhaps by then someone will have invented artificial crowds, a load of dummies sat there dressed in claret and blue....oh, hang on!
So no answers, then? Didn't think so. Hiddink won't take any job before taking over from van Gaal after the World Cup. Capello also has an international commitment. As for your claim of one less cup in the last 20 years, we've won two League Cups ('99, '08) to your... er, nothing. It's been a relatively poor return for us though, admittedly. Only half the total that you've won in your history, but we tend to do better than that. Why did you pick 20 years, by the way? Wouldn't be because since your last trophy win (FA Cup 1980) we've won 50% more trophies than you have ever, would it?
Oh dear! http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-london-12242831 Q. Why are you so rubbish? can you perhaps bring a friend who knows what they're talking about.
and how many Premier league titles have you ever been close to winning come Feb? Ever? seriously, you guys just don't get it do you, look at the title of this thread, look how you try and deny it's true (except one or two of you, but even then they probably think they're being tongue in cheek), and then just read the rest, it's just too ****ing ironic. Thanks I always enjoy a good laugh. You do understand the word LOAN don't you, you have to pay it back, generally with interest, or do you just **** over Wonga and wonder why they won't give you more money to give to your local crack dealer. by the way, I'm glad you have an honest appraisal of yourself as your screen name. We're rubbish because, like you, we are a mediocre Premier league club.
You've never won any major trophy with the word League in it's title. Still, you'll be able to challenge for a top half finish next season in the Championship, I guess. Any chance of you addressing anything that anyone's brought up at all? You seem to be intent upon embarrassing yourself now instead, for some reason.
The only irony here is West Ham fans complaining about Spurs being arrogant, while simultaneously claiming that they support a big, well supported, well run club. Laughable.
Spanners in the OS : 20,000 kids for a quid !!! Doncaster at home in the league : Save Our Season game !!!
Really? Where, exactly, have we said we are a big club? I think you'll find we have said the opposite. Or are you saying that as we have roughly the same attendences, languish around mid table and have the odd good season (no Bale now to elevate you to the level of also rans), that we consider ourselves a big club because you are? no no no, we consider ourselves a mediocre Premiership club, just lik you As a point of interest, when HR came to WHL a few seasons ago and relaunched Bales stalling careerr, where exactly were you in the league at that time? and how many points did you have because it seems to have slipped my mind, being such a big club I imagine it must've been close to the top 6
Languish around mid-table? Really? Spurs' final position for the last 10 seasons: 14th, 9th, 5th, 5th, 11th, 8th, 4th, 5th, 4th, 5th. A few poor seasons in there, but 6 top 5 finishes. Certainly not languishing around mid-table, by any means. 6 seasons of European football. West Ham's equivalent league placings: 4th in the 2nd tier, 6th in the 2nd tier, 9th, 15th, 10th, 9th, 17th, 20th, 3rd in the 2nd tier, 10th. 3 seasons in a lower division, 3 mid-table finishes, 1 bottom place finish and 3 successful relegation battles. Highest placing equal to Spurs' 3rd worst season. 1 season of European football which resulted in a 4-0 aggregate loss to Palermo. Those are similar records, are they? A poor recent season for Spurs is an outstanding one for West Ham. It's a ridiculous comparison.
Yes I do understand the word loan, let me explain it to you, well done on understanding the 50p/week payback structure.....you've still drained 40m of public money up front. I've deliberately done it this way round knowing you would walk into it, so having now established that 40m is already gone, lets add it to the real irony of you bringing it up and the government money you've been GIVEN. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/21889864 ....another 60 million eh! If you look at the date of the link, its been availale knowledge to West Ham fans since March.... With regard to your reference to class A's, it might be an idea you take up the pipe, if nothing else it'll render you incapable of using a keyboard for a while! Your intellectual ineptitude is quite staggering as much as it is highly amusing, well done on both.
Oh dear, proving your screen name fits perfectly, West Ham have been given £0, The owners of the OS have been given the money so that they can pay for the modifications that their preferred tenant (WHU) wants, if those modifications aren't made, BY THE OWNERS, then their preferred tenant will simply stay where they are. And thanks for the ist of your premiership finishes, take out the Bale years and what's your average? around 8th or so I think, mediocre premiership club. Trotterham: don't worry Rodders, this time next year we'll be Champions league
Oh dear indeed, more intellectual ineptitude, I'll try one last time, its in the link, and whether you're outright owners or not, public money is going toward your benefit, nobody else. "Breakdown of conversion funding Government: Around £60m Loan from Newham Council: £40m LLDC loan: £20m West Ham: £15m There will also be funding from London Mayor Boris Johnson's budget." I see you've stopped trying to compare yourselves as a PL mid table side like us , yes thats right mid-table side, I'll play your game for just this one comment. You've spent half the time in the Championship, you only squeaked in via play off last time, PNP was more complimentary saying you were 3rd! If you'd listened to me way back in this thread when I told you the fact you are a championship side on a flying visit to the PL, you could have toddled off and saved yourself a hammering on here...no pun intended!
Bale was at the club for 6 full seasons. Take them out of a decade's worth? Really? Why would we take them out, anyway? He was a Spurs player and part of a squad. Removing those seasons would make absolutely no sense, much like everything else you're saying. We sold our best player for a world record fee to Real Madrid. You sell your best players for peanuts to us. Not much of a comparison, is it? An average of 8th would still be distinctly better than that of West Ham, too. We've qualified to play in the Champions League. You? When was the last time that you won a European game? I'll give you a hint. It wasn't in this century.
