Ifs and buts. If we hadn't had so many injuries over the years or had Lehmann sent off in the CL final then we would have won that along with a couple of league titles etc etc.. As for resources, apart from Sanchez and Ozil in the last couple of years (Justified as we've won two trophies in the last two years) Spurs have massively outspent Arsenal on transfers and still finished below us. You all seem to claim that Levy is some kind of transfer Genius, but all he does it luck out on a few big transfer fees and then piss it up the wall on dross. As I've said, since we moved from Highbury and had severe financial restrictions, the end of the invincible era, having to sell our best players, along with the Chavs and City buying their way to the top, we presented the Spuds with a golden opportunity to overtake us when we were at our weakest. And despite Levy spending huge amounts on your squad, you've still not even managed to finish above us, not even for one season. There's always been a gap of skill, class and success between Arsenal and Spurs, it narrowed over the last few years due to our weakened position, but it is increasing once again. It is West Ham who you need to be looking over your shoulders for, Arsenal are too far in front of you to worry about.
Arsenal projected revenue for 2015 year: £300mill. Spurs projected revenue for year 2015: £180mill. I think that illustrates that your revenue, and hence spending power, are way above ours. Figures are the projections of Forbes. I don't think we need to worry about The Spammers just yet.
Please don't discuss transfers and club finances with Piskie. It hurts his brain. He doesn't understand how wages figure into the whole thing and goes a bit mental when it's pointed out.
I don't wish to tax the poor chap's brain, so I shan't point out that their wage bill exceeds ours by....oh, I said I wouldn't mention it, didn't i?
To attract players of Champions League standard, you have to pay better wages. Anyway, this thread isn't about the Champions League, it's about Spurs and West Ham and the Europey pot
I think the OP being a Spurs fan and writing this thread because of a deep seated insecurity about West Ham going further in the Europey pot, absolutely makes this thread about Spurs and West Ham.

But it does have relevance to Spurs, as I've already pointed out. Ask yourself this, would you find an Arsenal fan writing this thread about West Ham ? No, you wouldn't, because they are not competing with us for the Europey Pot.
