This! What an idiot, if I'd been on his team and he'd said "roll with the punches" one more time he'd have been the one being punched.

I dunno mind, have you ever seen any of Nigella Lawson's cookery shows? <smooch>:emoticon-0152-heart

I watched it as wor lass tends to dominate the TV, especially when I'm sorting out uni work. Did anyone else think as he was fired the sound editors missed a trick, they could have played a song like "Short People" by Randy Newman?

    Quality <laugh>

Don't know where he was going with the "I'm the shortest as well" comment, just made himself look even more daft than he already had.

Nigella's a bit tasty, quite a bit to get hold of, but I'd rather eat her than the food they prepare.

The one annoying thing about The Apprentice for me is that it's set a standard for 'freshers' into my industry of how they feel they should act.

If I had a pound for every fecker I've had to destroy I'd have a **** load of pounds!

The thing I always wonder is that they make them out to be really cocky and get them to say catchphrases for the show, how much of it is scripted?
Also it probably wrecks your career if you don't get far in the show as most of the tasks that they are given a kid could probably do well.
Nevermind if you're made out to be/are cocky; a lot of employers will think, "I'm not going to employ this cocky bastard."

Depends on the cookery show; the Hairy Bikers mums know best roadshow was canny, but then it's a collection of family recipes people have brought to them.
Also have you ever watched Man vs Food? Not technically a cookery show, but it's awesome.
I've heard from a friend ITK for anyone who watches it that he's coming over to do a show in the UK soon, no idea what he'd eat as some of the food in America is ridiculous - maybe a massive 18" parmo!

He's already had huge breakfasts that would put to shame any that are over here; he's even had a four pound burger before.

Aye it's like a mafia style cake shop in New York, wor lass watches that and Ace of Cakes. I prefer Cake Boss for the arguments if I'm made to watch it as Ace of Cakes just makes me thing I'm in the wrong profession. They always seem to mess around in the kitchen, go on random "research" trips halfway across America, play practical jokes and despite making a lot of cakes, they get to doss around a lot. It seems like my kind of job!

We own shares in a land fill site...

Yes, business is an aggressive environment but it also has certain values that The Apprentice deems to ignore and simply plays with egos.

For the idiot who was fired. Sometimes you have to take the blame for an error of judgement and if you do; you come out stronger as you've shown you realise your faults and can possibly learn from them.

Don't watch much TV at all. In fact if it wasn't for football and the odd decent film I wouldn't have it on at all.

Much rather spend my time on here chatting to all you fine folk.

It's clearly a rent a crowd, so not really a proper crowd getting excited (sorry to ruin any sense of wonderment you may have had over that), but nah imo it's quality just for seeing all the food they have over there.
Something we don't get in the UK is much variety, maybe in London, but most takeaways or restaurants are pretty much the obvious cuisines.
As the US is founded on so many different cultures and immigrants they have ****loads of variety (also a lot of **** that is bad for you) and some of the stuff that he eats looks amazing.
The bloke I think does really **** though, I'm half his size width wise and could still probably out-eat him on some of the food challenges he does.
On a sidenote has anyone ever eaten a Maccy ds in America?
Absolutely disgusting; their burgers are **** over here, but over there they just taste of sugars and very sweet. Proper rank!

It's not the same since Wogan stopped commenting on it but yes; I'll even watch it with Jedward for the 'novelty acts' such as Greece and the robots a fair few years back.

Never had a McD's in the States. Was in a small town in the States once when they had a food carnival and all the different communities had stalls with traditional food from where their ancestors had come from. It was really enjoyable and everything was priced very reasonably.
