Absolutely baffled why people want Pearson. Did a respectable job at Leicester prior to Rainieri and he was fairly decent at galvanizing Watford, but his work in the Belgian second division was shocking. His other managerial roles weren't great. Aside from an initial boost because he's a name people have heard of, what do people think he would bring that would actually suit us? We need a person with a winning mentality to fire us to promotion, his time at Watford was spent fighting fires and trying to avoid relegation. I'm of the impression the players will quickly tire of his methods and soon results will sour after an initial "new manager bounce".

He did a great job at Leicester and similar at Watford. We all know he's a dick but he's accustomed to managing in the premier league and we're a mediocre club in league one so that's probably why people want him.

Daniel Stendel has apparently applied for the job according to reports.

Liked watching Barnsley when he had them - but he had a quality, mobile and decent finisher in Moore! He'd have Grigg and Graham here!

Wouldn't mind having him at the club

I'm surprised there hasn't been more support for Danny Cowley as he has been successful at every club he has been with and did miracles with ourselves at Lincoln City before getting a Huddersfield team that had won one in previous 30 games or similar to stay up (and yes I know most of the 30 were in the Prem)

I'd back you to go up if he took over and although his style is sometimes criticised he is a successful manager and will want to bring the town and the fans along with him and his brother.

I’m with you mate. I’d be happy with him, I watched your run in the cup under him, and you played some good stuff and he really had the players playing for the badge. I’m disheartened Gus hasn’t taken it but he was my second choice in this poll.

they’re clearly very clever blokes and I think people overstate how things went at Huddersfield.

I'd have Cowleys or Stendel. Think both are good enough easily and may have a future with us. All depends on the powers that be. I'm praying that Donald has stepped aside and is allowing Dreyfuss and Sartori to do the work!

I personally don’t think sartori and Dreyfus would go for the cowleys, no specific reason but just a gut feeling. Think they’re looking for a “name” to go along with the sd. I could be wrong like as our lass always says I am

I think its comes down to different levels of mgr

Poyet, Pearson, Howe, Allardyce are all going to be voted for if given as a choice.

If I ran poll again and it had poyet etc removed it would be interesting to see who people voted for then.

Big Nige, the ostrich fighter with SKP as his assisatant. I know he's a bit of a mentalist but that combo ticks all the other boxes for me.

After the disappointment of the result and apparently Poyet turning us down (i do remember the bad bits last time Poyet was here but we weren't in this league)
    I'm now hoping for Pearson/Phillips,
More so than I was Poyet.
I like Pearson, especially with Phillips.
Be over the moon with that appointment.

    Yeah they were good times!!

Interestingly he said, and it appears to have been backed up from within the club, that at Huddersfield they were given two jobs which was to get the wage bill DOWN and keep the team UP and they achieved both.

In my opinion part of the problem there was that after their first two games they went on a 7 game unbeaten run and I think raised expectations too high too quickly and paid the price when the run couldn't be maintained.
