Get used to it, it's obviously the way that AA conducts his business, and he shows no signs of changing. There's only one way that it's going to change for the better, that's if he sell up, but that would need to be to someone of similar ilk to Sheikh Mansour, as AA would probably want in the region of £80M for it at least, so the likes of Adam Pearson are dead in the water!

No it doesn't - why should it???

I want a successful Hull City that is run well.

In fact what a great idea.

Why don't you do a poll along the lines of:

    - Do you want a well run successful Hull City? Yes or No
    or
    - Do you want a shambolic failing Hull City? Yes or No ?

    Because I did this poll.
So are you saying you want them to stay?

I only finished mine this summer and I never came across it either. I also did modules on sports marketing and it never came up then, and currently work in sports marketing and everyone (everyone!) in my departments thinks its a loony idea.

Well his popularity rating, the amount of collaboration from the Council, the gratitude of the people of Hull, the lack of respect and warmth, will show no sign of changing either.

Please don't do that. Some posters are already frightened to vote.

As soon as you vote, or click the "view results" option, you can see who voted for what...unless I have unknown super powers on this site?

Yes, but it's not about naming and shaming. Hopefully we can all accept that we all have a right to an opinion.

Which is precisely why I suggested that the only way forward would be to find another Sheikh Mansour, unfortunately it looks to me to be the ONLY solution

Noone has named and shamed anyone, of course everyones entitled to an opinion, I was simply pointing out that those opinions are readily viewable by anyone at all on this site. I'm quite certain when those folks decided to make it public they'd rather we got rid of Dr Allam, they weren't bothered about anyone else's views on the matter, and were quite happy for everyone to know how they feel. Why should they feel ashamed by that?

What I've done is no worse than quoting someone elses post from a previous time in fact.

Everybody can change their opinion on anything, I have no problem with that.

The reactions quoted were posted as a result of our owners getting rid of Nick Barmby, a local lad who played for & managed us for 8 years of our 109 year existence, for no real reason.

18 months down the line & the same people are defending the "cancer" from criticism as they attempt to get rid of our 109 year old name for no real reason.

It's understanding the values & principles behind these changes of heart that I struggle with.

Do they value NB more than the name of the club?

Surely it can't just be promotion back to the promised land, can it?

In all honesty Benny, I have *no* idea what you're going on about, or why.

I just meant we see a lot of stuff quoted that's said by people, recently and in the past I guess, hadn't thought of it that far, and me just pasting in the names of the people who want Dr A out, and its current, I don't see as any different. It's all public and available on here. I was sorta responding to the suggestion I shouldn't have posted their names. I don't see why it's a problem.

Regarding Barmby, they got rid of him for a few reasons, one of which was he wasn't good enough, and another reason was he has anger management issues and a god complex. I mean, how could they get rid of "one of our own" who was a "Local Hero"? Getting rid of him was one of the smartest things they did, and if that decision is being used as a baseline for their current decisions, then they 100% know what they're doing.

Not sure what that's got to do with this though?

Not popping at you Happy, you're consistent in your approach to all things City.

I've been posting single, over the top, quotes some had posted last year when NB was fired off. Some of these posters now appear to have gone full circle & believe our owners should be protected from criticism over current issues. I'm trying to understand their values? NB's fired off & they're "cancer",
yet when they fire off our name the same posters believe others cannot be critical of them - it doesn't add up to me.

I thought everyone would be aware the vote results were visible. I like the quote system & think it should be exploited whenever necessary, especially in highlighting that Tubby is a Wumming dick.

Of course, on over the top insults aimed at our owners, I still support them & appreciate how they saved the club. I believe fully if they didn't step in there'd be no club to support.

On the name changing issue I don't think we agree fully but that's life, if we agreed all the time life would be pants. It's the manner in which people disagree that matters.

At the moment there's too much going round in circles from all sides of the name change arguments. A few are stoking the fire just for the hell of it. & that's why I'm arsing about with quotes from long ago.

Any criticism aimed at the owner's ideas should be subjective, objective & constructive any personal attacks defeat the argument you're trying to put over.

The biggest problem I see we currently have is Mr A's inability to accept reasonable questioning of his ideas (Not just from CTWD but also from respected journos). Nobody should consider themselves above questioning, it's a method of self improvement & should be embraced.
