    A wise precaution.

I agree with NSS about Bentecke. He’s a very good but very limited player. The odd thing is that Liverpool have swung and missed on both the pre-eminent old-fashioned number nines in the league, since the other one is Andy Carroll. Someone may explain to Liverpool eventually that an old fashioned number nine doesn’t suit their system.

You and me both, he's 100% a fruit loop as you say and it was never going to work with the way the team was set up and the way we played and would still like to play imo, smart attacking football which for me means going direct or short or slow it down / up the tempo at will. As always you need the right mix of players but I think that's what we expect from klopp tbh, the ability to see what is needed and when to do it in contrast to Rodgers who had his own "my way or the highway" style and no plan b.
But yeah that Balotelli story came up a few weeks ago before, can't see him coming back for any reason other than utter desperation for players at the moment :D bad times indeed.

Yup, strange one because word on the street is that klopp was an admirer of benteke during his dortmund days and from what I can see he now doesn't seem to have much confidence in him and he's had enough opportunity to impress, for me it's service and lack of effort slightly on his behalf.
We don't need to be an all out wing based team crossing from the byline every game to get the best out of him at all, what I have noticed is the delivery to him is coming way to late. I know he looks like a lump but the lad can shift when he gets going, the balls into the channels need to go much earlier, I don't agree with some on our board with him not making the runs, it's bollox, you put the ball into space and make a situation where it's benteke and whoever running for a 50/50 then my money's on him tbh.

I think a lack of trust is there also with especially Coutinho, I honestly don't think couts trusts him to get on the end of those balls he used to play in the channel's to suarez (because he looks like a lump lol?) and I'm sure benteke is quicker over 30 meters than suarez is and maybe just as much a handful as him, physically anyway lol.

He's getting loads of stick but it's not all him being a dimwit lazy batard as some would say at the moment, I'll give him a year as always but wouldn't care much if he's shipped out in the summer with balo and about 8 others.

  6. Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has grown frustrated with striker Daniel Sturridge's persistent injury problems and is ready to listen to offers for the 26-year-old. (Mirror)

    <doh>
Yeah, that's right Klipperty! The lad cannot player for 'Pool because he's continually lame, but some other club will overlook that and come in for him, so that you can clear space for a fit striker!

I'm beginning to think that Klopp is incredibly dense!

A bullet dodged for a lot of clubs!

Surely HIAG isn't bottling questions on this thread too ?

  9. What would be the point in doing that?

You are trying to prove that 'Pool is a bigger club than Spurs because, based purely on long-dead past glories, you've done more than us.

The true position is, of course, that in an era when neither Spurs nor 'Pool have done particularly well at anything, Spurs have consistently been the better team.

For example, please state where each club has finished in the Prem, over the last 6 seasons.

SMKl has Hiag answered these yet ? or has PNP jumped to his defence and answered for him ?

these are the types or questions that we football fans want to know.

i am sure one answer is 1961 and another is 1991, or it might be 2121

  11. Can I please ask posters to stop wumming this thread, and to keep on-topic?

This thread is about 'Pool's delusions, not Spurs'.

  14. All fans do, to at least some extent.

The point is, this thread is for rival fans to discuss Mouser delusions.

See this is where clubs used to winning things (us) differ from clubs not used to winning things (you)

In those 6 seasons you've finished above us 5 times is it? The one season you didn't finish above us we nearly won the league correct? OK good, now also in those 6 seasons haven't you finished in 5th place for 5 out of those 6? Which would earn you one cl run in that time? Correct?... Good glad we're on the same page here so far :D

Now just to be clear... in those 6 glory laden years, (arguably spurs greatest era?) you have 1 year in top 4 therfore 1year in the cl yes?

Just doing some numbers here haig.... Right, so in that same 6 year time frame Liverpool have managed to also get in the top 4 once and compete in the cl once, nearly win the title, win a cup final, lose one, and possibly have a cup final to attend this season.

Now what was that you were saying about past dead glories proving we are the bigger and better club?

    I rest my case haig.
Thank you guys, my next class will take place when haig offers some kind of retort :D

A common occurrence, but he has become so desensitised to the ridicule, that he just stumbles blindly into the next pummelling.
