Bath is one of our sattelite centres, not to be confused with Bath City who are a club in their own right. Bale did indeed train at the sattelite centre from age 9. I'm not to familiar with how the centre is run or what relationships it has with local clubs. A mate of mine played in a Tyro league team against quite a few Saints kids, so I'd guess they loan them out. Bournemouth and Eastleigh are also clubs in their own right, although we have done a fair bit of business with both.
There just seems to be a form of snobbery by certain clubs who seem to think a player must've been birthed on your training ground for you to claim any form of ownership over their development.
It's our Satellite club/academy,it's different.I'm not being hypocritical mate,it's just a fact.If you took a youngster from your satellite club(I don't know which one it is)then it's different.
.We can exchange players with one another though,the two clubs share a special relationship with one another.It's different with Arsenal,it's not like we're taking players under other clubs noses(like Fabregas). I belive that Arsenal share a similar relationship with FC Lorient,you loan players out and buy players off them.
OK,we'll agree to disagree then. I heard that Chamberlain is a good bench warmer . Why doesn't Wenger play him or atleast send hi out on loan?Shame really.I wanted him to progress.
